Hacking Discussion My switch won't go into AutoRCM

So My switched died completely and now it wont go into autorcm mode! i let it charge for about 1-2 hours on autorcm mode considering that autorcm mode charges the battery really slow
So i plug my switch into my computer to inject the payload but it'll say payload injected sucessfully but then the switch will return to a black screen! someone help please !

maybe you updated to 8.1.0?

I'm thinking the same thing , what can i do to go back to 8.0.1 ? i think the switch updated by itself and installed everything by itself. Do i just wait for a CFW to be avaiable on 8.1.0 ?

Does PC and Tegra smash detect switch on RCM before you inject Payload?. If yes then still have battery , if not then you will need to charge it up. As 8.1 OFW does break ATM, but not RCM.

i suggest to wait for next ams update to not mess even more, I made the same thing some time ago.

I quickly unplug from pc and plug into mains power as soon as the payload is injected when I'm charging from rcm mode

RCM can not be patched and will always work, no matter which FW version Nintendo will release!

Push hekate payload and disable AUTORCM. See what stock system boots up...

The Switch requires user input before updating. If you haven't taken measures to block updates, you will repeatedly be nagged to update.

Im going to give it a try i had it charging all tight lets see how it reacts today !

Just be aware the booting OFW will burn fuses in case you had updated via Choidujour

never booted with Choidujour but i was able to get into my switch OFW with Hekate and turning off RCM mode and it looks like it was update to 8.1.0. That answers alot of questions! so now to wait for a CFW for 8.1.0

The only way you can go back is to restore a NAND backup or wait for the new version of Atmosphere.

So OP does switch automatic update the firmeware for you or you accidently input it to update?. If you confirm it on OFW 8.1 then better wait for AT, as restore is for Advance user, plus you have no need to do so. Good luck
