WHY IS THIS SAME USER ASKING THE SAME QUESTION.

ITS NOT ADVISED TO REMOVE YOUR SD PERIOD WHILE YOUR CONSOLE IT TURNED ON.

ITS NOT ADVISED TO REMOVE AN SD FROM ANY DEVICE THAT IS POWERED ON UNLESS IT HAS OPTION TO EJECT SAFELY.

?
RCM is not reading sdcard unless sdmmc from payload is loaded.
And your advice is correct only for linux-based OS.
So CAPS LOCK down, soldier.

Switch is Linux based as far as I know ?
plus it is the same for Windows and everything else oO
you really shouldn't do that
When RCM is turned on, there is no OS loaded until payload is sent.

And no - Windows has 2 modes for pług&Play devices. If you clearly are not using sd card, you can eject it. Linux always is reading sd card, so it's not safe.

caps were on because i was coding, and regardless if the system has sent payload, the console is still sending power to it.

theirs no reason to want to remove sd while in rcm, stop been lazy, turn system off swap sd if needed that bad.

or ftp while system is running if you need a file.

Holy crap man, you've already been told numerous times by a plethora of users across multiple threads. What exactly are you waiting to hear? A signed letter from Nintendo?

do as you please, your clearly not going to listen to what your told.

power your console on, remove sd card when in rcm and see what happens.

there is no helping some idiots.
I said I only for discussion. I always hekate' power off ,then remove the SD card
Though every body told me it's fine and they r always do that, like I see. But I will not do that.
I just want to know:
It's MUST fully power off to remove
Or
It's also ok to remove while in RCM

what is the point in "Discussion" when its the second time youve made a post asking the same thing.

there is no point at all in what your asking, theirs nothing to have a discussion about.

you dont even have a reason to remove the sd card do you?

Where do you take that knowledge from ?
There is a reason that an SD card can get corrupted data when removing it just like that ...
Plus how can you be sure it is not in use at the moment you take it out ? I had this phenomenon often with USB sticks that Windows couldn't remove it because it was doing something even though I had no idea what.

I know MS said they had something for windows 10 to allow removing external devices just like that but I am not sure if this is actually safe yet.

p.s. plug and play only means you can insert it and use it on the fly not the other way around even though it usually works with most devices
