The famous guide that everybody is linking new CFW users to is 3ds.hacks.guide, but there is already a faster and safer method for free custom firmware for any 3DS running 11.9.0-42U/J and above! The guide is called Fredminer and here it is: https://3ds.eiphax.tech/fredminer.html
In comparison to Frogminer and Seedminer, this does NOT need a secondary entrypoint. It requires a free DSiWare from the eshop (qr codes are provided for free DSiWare on the page. Only for USA and JAP regions, there is no free DSiWare for EUR consoles)
In case there is a user asking on how to install CFW for EUR, link them to 3ds.hacks.guide
If they are USA or JAP, please link them to https://3ds.eiphax.tech/fredminer.html
link them here:https://3ds.eiphax.tech/fredminer.html
here:https://3ds.eiphax.tech/fredminer.html
and only here! https://3ds.eiphax.tech/fredminer.html

The guide "3ds.hacks.guide" has currently one problem: It has no link to a working otherapp payload for 11.10.0-43E. For everything else: It is not outdated, not wrong and fully working. Fredminer/Fredtool is part of the guide:
https://3ds.hacks.guide/seedminer
where you have to decide between Fredtool and Steelhax+Frogtool.

In addition to that 3ds.hacks.guide has instructions for other methods which are faster and easier for older firmware versions as well as the fast ntrboot method which can be used to cure severe softbricks – and does work in case of borked DS(i)-mode (*miner does not).

Both guides are good and usable and the Frogminer method is also on the page you linked.

that’s why i say that 3ds.hacks.guide is outdated, because it is better for older firmwares. fredminer in comparison, requires less steps

you see? https://gbatemp.net/threads/11-10e-wondering-if-this-tutorial-will-work.541044/ this guy is EUR, so i told him frogminer is okay. If he had been USA or JAP, i would have told him a big NO

Personally, I would have recommended people buy one of those crappy US $5 ntrboot flashcarts with the time bomb off of aliexpress if they're kinda broke to afford the R4i Gold 3DS Plus, too scared, and lazy hacking with a miner method. Then again, you can't beat the price of free.

Edit 1 - Hmm, you know what? Let's see if simple hex editing can create those 11.10 payloads. Be back later.
Edit 2 - Nah, looks like the only way to fix those otherapp & ropbin payloads is to compile with corrections to source code.

Hmmh. What should I say to this? In the original post you stated: Link to 3ds.hacks.guide in case of CFW for Eur region – the only case which is currently broken on the guide. I stick by my opinion. Both guides are good and usable.

The first, and possibly most important link, is Plailect's Guide. Plailect's guide is regularly updated, verified to be accurate and is comprehensive across all software and hardware versions.
Both https://3ds.eiphax.tech/fredminer.html and https://3ds.eiphax.tech/frogminer.html end with a link to the finalizing page of Plailect's "outdated" guide.

No discussion: ntrboot is the best method – gives a good feeling having that option when doing experiments. But not everybody has a flashcart…
