TX Presents SX OS v2.7 BETA - Full v8.0.1 Compatible!

Good day, friends! We are pleased to announce the release of SX OS 2.7 beta.
SXOS27.jpg

Well, if you been waiting to try out 'boost mode' in Zelda or play MK11, well no more waiting, you can now update and enjoy! :)
This update brings full compatibility with firmware 8.0.0 and 8.0.1. All your favorite SX OS functionality (emuNAND, XCI emulation, cheats, etc.) should work as intended.

SX OS v2.7 beta is available on our website and through our Online Update right now!

We keep getting excellent feedback from our users, and have accumulated a nice todo list for new SX OS functionality. Its been almost a year since our initial release, but we promise we're still actively working on adding new features and improving existing ones.

Of course, behind the scenes we are also still working hard on our solution for those "unhackable" switches. Good progress is being made, so hang in there!
That's it for today, keep checking back for more updates!

That's why emunand exist. Idiots...
Emunand didn't exist before I started hacking my switch, before you tell people that they are idiots try not to be the largest one before asking, so people that did not had the opportunity to use emunand and have an all around switch xci is the way, also it's easier just copy and paste to replace than installing and desinstalling

I've used XCI on day one of SXOS. I have my own opinions why XCI is shit and why NSP are superior. Using XCI now is pointless because of the steps you have to go through to get a game installed. Using Tinfoil to install your games via USB or Network is faster than taking out the sd card, transfer a game(s) from the PC and boot into SXOS. You don't do that anymore if you use Tinfoil. Simple load Tinfoil and install games. I get it. Emunand wasnt a thing but it is now and theres no reason to not have one if you have SXOS. Most games are eshop exclusive. Having to convert NSP to XCI is just a waste

Ok!

Re-installed EVERY nsp (stand alone games and updates for Xcis) and everything is working perfectly.

It was a bug in the installer with earlier versions of the sxos folks.

Just bite the bullet and reinstall. If they come out with a fix it’s going to be a fix to support games installed the incorrect way so just reinstall and your problems will be solved from here on out!

I did the update of my EMUNAND to 8.0.1 via ChoiDujourNX and am using 2.7.1 sxos boot file. XCI files I have seem to work ok...however my actual gamecards do not. I get an error that "A Software update is required". Anyone get this with trying to play your actual game cards in Emunand 8.0.1?

I have also updated my un-modded Sysnand to 8.0.1 via OTA. I rather just not have to boot to OFW to play games I own offline. My EMUNAND never goes online.

Has anyone found a workaround for themes yet? I'm so used to having themes installed that without them the switch menus feel kinda bland.

I need some opinions if possible, I just recently updated to 8.0.1 and SX OS 2.7.1 and sure enough ALL of my old nsps did not work. I redownload the XCIs of the games and most of them do work after installation except for Octopath Traveler. I tried redownloading the file (got clean nsp, clean xci, cxci) but they crash at varying situations. The most I can make it work with is on a CXCI with the latest patch mounted as an XCI or installed. But it crashes as soon as it reaches the Octopath logo. The other file versions crash even while loading. I also tried a couple more things like deleting my save (after a backup) and deleting tickets through SX installer but no dice.

Is this a sigpatch issue or am I resigned to moving back to 7.0.1 until a new update comes?

Sounds like a signature issue. If possible, if you got any NSP installed. Can you try booting Atmosphere and see if you get the same issue?

seems Octopath not working on 8.0.1 would be a more widely reported issue if it were effecting all users.

Download and install Tinfoil v1.61 from tinfoil.io - then go into the tickets section and manually remove all tickets associated with Ocotpath Traveller. Then try re-installing Octopath.

Thanks for the help guys, I finally figured out the cause of the issue. It was the 1.0.3 update that was causing the crashes. Since my Switch had the update nag, I just used DevMenu to remove the update requirement. Thanks again
