Hacking Kriby Return to Dreamland freezing.

As of now I have backups of my games on a USB HDD, and everything loads just fine except for Return to Dreamland.
It loads just fine, but when I press "2" to continue past the loading screen it freezes.
I am not using any patched or cheats.
Wii system version is 4.3U
I am using USB Loader GX version 3 REV 1271, and have tried the following CIOS on slot 249 : d2x v6 base 56, dx2 v8 base 58, d2x-v10-beta-52 base 56, d2x-v10-beta-52 base 57, and d2x-v10-beta-53-alt base 56.
Any help and advise is appreciated.

Ok, Configurable USB loader works with it.
Any clue as to why one loader works and the other dosen't? I would prefer to be able to load all my games through one loader.

I got it working by deleting all the loader's files off my SD card and re-installing it. If it happens again, I'll bring it that thread.

that game has a memory edit detection.
Like you said, you disabled all patches, so I guess you knew about it, but maybe you had one global setting enabled (for example, force language?).

lastest loader as of today : 1271 (soon 1272)
best cIOS : d2x v10 r52, base57.
don't use r53, it doesn't work with that game.
Kirby also doesn't work on SD (if you ever tried to play from Wiiflow+game on SD).

if you want to use any memory edit (cheat, or other things), there is a fix for it.
a gameconfig.txt patch that you need to put on your SD card, and enable "hooktype" in the loader to load it. the gameconfig should be available on geckocodes, if not I have the EUR and USA version.

I only changed a settings in the loader, ensuring Nintendont is used for GameCube games, removing the play count display, and enabling the network at startup.
However I will keep that in mind should the issue come up again.

I did make a backup of the original install, so if you wanted to see any files from that I can provide them.
