Hello all,

New to the forums here and I'm hoping you guys can help me figure out what has failed. Last week tried to boot up the switch in the dock and heard a rough sound in the switch. It was as if something popped and the fans proceeded to run at full blast. Did a hard reset and it was able to boot up but whenever I put in the dock the system would freeze. Sometime I was able to see the menu on my TV frozen sometimes nothing. Then proceeded to clean the dock a few days later with just a plain ole can of air. Placed it in. Booted up and nothing. Now the system will continue to go to black whenever it gets past the Nintendo splash screen. When its a black screen the system is still running as I can pair my joycons. Used a jig to get into RCM mode and I am able to push the hetake payload and begin booting atmos. However it never boots up and shuts down after the splash screen. Any thoughts?

Is it a hacked Switch? You might be able to get it fixed by Nintendo if it isn't.
Its not a hacked switch but its 7 months past its warranty and I bought in in the US when I lived there. Currently living in Japan without my tool sets so im worried this is going to be a pricey repair.

if you can see atmos splash screen that means that yours is a hackable switch else it would just boot up normally (i had a patched switch)
at this point I am not sure what the problem is
