ngl when I first saw the leaked screenshots of Tales of Arise I thought this was a Monster Hunter game. Looks also quite similar to DQXI. Still looks great though, but I hope Fujishima is still one of the character designers. When it comes to the gameplay my only wish is that they go back to the team symphonia battle style I played in past tales games.

Hmm...so Tales of Arise vaguely sounds like a cross between Tales of Symphonia and perhaps the Phantasy Star series? I do hope the new engine translates into more stable framerate. :/

Two pretty exciting titles. Very nice. Despite how bad Sekiro was, i'm still excited any time I see a FromSoft game.

My only hope for the new Tales game is that it goes back to the typical arte binds and not the combo system from Berseria. It wasn't terrible but I wasn't a fan.

A question to someone who played Jet-Black Mage and Wrath of the White Witch: is the latter worth playing if I have beaten JBM and didn't quite like it? Everything besides the actual gameplay was top-notch, and the game itself felt like a drag.

I only played a bit of Jet-Black Mage and I never really got around to finishing Wrath of the White Witch (got stuck at one point where the difficulty spiked, iirc), but both games are drastically different so it might be worth playing it. Though many people have gripes with the party AI since it's pretty bad (I can't recall exactly, but that seems to be the general consensus) and that switching between human and familiar mid-battle can become quite a chore. It probably had something to do with spell casting/summoning delay timers. I'm sure someone else can elaborate on it further.

On the plus side, you don't need to draw spells nor carry around a hefty spell book (or open up a pdf of it) for anything whenever you want to use them.

I played in Ni No Kuni month ago on my ps3 . I think that the game has a terrible fighting system and the story is soooo boring.
I'm so sad we won't get tales for switch

I've never really played a Tales of game before, but those screenshots look pretty. Elden Ring sounds like it could be very interesting, but I'll need to see some gameplay first. Bringing GRRM in is neat, but I've never really cared for story in Dark Souls type games. Though I'm in no particular hurry, still waiting for Sekiro to get a bit cheaper.
