Hacking How to Upgrade Switch Firmware to 8.01 using SX OS

Can someone post a link to a guide, or post instructions, on how to upgrade the Switch OFW to 8.01 using SX OS? I have a few games that won't run unless the firmware is upgraded, and I want a safe way to do it without going online, getting banned, or potentially bricking the system.

You go to the dark place and find the proper firmware files and put them in the proper spot in your SD card

You download ChoiDujourNX and put it on your SD card properly

Start up your Switch and run Choi and select the new firmware you want

Should work afterwards

This might be an old way of doing it since I've been out of the loop for a while but it should still work without issue

Thanks Tuna. I read somewhere that ChoiDujourNX doesn't work with SX OS. Guess it was incorrect information

does SXOS support 8.0?

im still on 6.2.0 i've been away from my switch for a while and i wanna play "slay the spire" but i cant seem to install the game even with tinfoil ignore firmware

Why yes, yes it does. I’ve upgraded to 8.0.1 and it’s working flawlessly

Newest SXOS works with the newest FW (8.0.1) but i also read that you should use Kosmos/Atmosphere for ChoiDujourNX. Don´t know why, never tried it under sxos though.

Updated twice using SXOS without any problem.

Have you tried using lithium? That worked for me.

ChoiDujourNX works on sxos with no porblems.

Make sure you do a NAND backup beforehand in case anything goes haywire afterwards.
Whilst updating with Choi make sure the "Enable AutoRCM" option is ticked. Keep autoRCM on at all times,should you wish to preserve the fuse count and keep it intact.
This will make it possible for you to downgrade back to 7.0.1 in case you wish to downgrade back.
