Which CFW is running on your switch? If atmosphere: Are you using the sigpatches for 8.0.1?
Was able to solve this with the sigpatches. So my games are working now. So what's left is I need a link to show how I can install games using goldleaf and tinfoil. The ones am seeing are complicated for a noob

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

If you have to ask, it's not modded. Go ahead and update your controllers.
Done tnx

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Well, you should know at least which CFW you're running. I guess your using Atmosphere. I am pretty sure your friend didn't pay 30 bucks for you. Download sigpatches from here and extract them to the root of your micro sd card.

If you don't mod your controller, simply accept the update.
Thanks. This helped

hi, can someone guide me on using a mac as a payload injector?
I have set it up on windows using tegra, but since I have my macbook with me on the go I want to setup it up as a payload injector as well.
So far, I have followed the sdsetup guide and downloaded the fusee-launcher from the github page. But i am not entirely sure how I would send the hekate payload.
Any guidance would be great. Thanks.

Is there a way to block game update notifications?
90DNS or you can try the following:
1. First make sure you cancel the upgrade!
2. Then press the power button and hold for about 5 seconds
3. Choose power off
4. Hold down VOL+ and VOL- and pres simultaneously the power button
5. Choose update but do not update... instead cancel the process!
6. Shut down the console and restart normally

The SDSetup guide has a section for sending payloads via fusee-launcher.

To install games, you have two options. Either install the NSP from your micro sd card or from a computer. If you use exFAT, you can install any game from your micro sd with simply putting it on your sd card and starting the gold leaf homebrew app on your switch console. If you use FAT32 or don’t want to turn off your console, you should install your NSP via USB. FAT32 doesn’t allow you to have files greater than 4GB on your micro sd card but many games are bigger than 4GB. For that you need a USB A to USB C cable. Here‘s a guide for USB install with gold tree: https://guide.sdsetup.com/usingcfw/installnsps/installnsps-goldtree

The switch is not online and there is no stored update to delete.

I want to block the notification about there being an update available and there being the option to download it. I've read the firmware just knows there is a new update available without being online.

I'm rather confused with the partition format.

Everyone always say to format to FAT32 and stuff, but now I've found I can't put backups larger than 4gb inside of it. So is FAT32 really the best format for the micro sd? It took 3 hours to copy paste and format it... really don't want to go through that again. It is also said that Retroarch will cause problems if the microsd is not set to FAT32, so what to do?

Stay on FAT32. If you want to install games larger than 4GB, install them over USB with goldtree.

Yes, certain firmware versions just know that there is an update available for all games. The only other thing you can try is DevMenu's reset required firmware version but there is no other way to block the update.

I found the code.. They did send it 2 me.. Will it still work from 7-19-18.. I never used it

Try to activated it, if he gaved to another person then probably no, usually they wouldn't sell the same code to another person. Once it is activated it is linked to that console, keep it in mind.

Is there a easy way to copy the hidden emuNand which i can just restore and not have to worry saves too?

I have an Original cartridge from MARIO&RABBIDS KINGDOM BATTLE. That one contains the dutch language version. The ones I could find as XCI is the WORLD version without the dutch language. So now I was wondering if I could use my Original cartridge and use SX DUMPER from SX for that (I have an SX OS licence).
Could you explain what I need to do for that please? I could not find a manual or instructions. Do I need something like key's or cert or... because I'm not so good at that?
