If you're saying this AFTER playing an emulated version of VB Wario Land with an easier-on-the-eye pallette, then ok to each their own carry on. If not, I recommend you give it a shot. The hardware and execution of the virtual boy was trash, yes, but that game in particular is incredible. Played on a modern console that excutes stereoscopic visuals properly, it's worth the work.
i never tried the VB but i really dont play Wario Land and other games which i want doesnt exist lagnagauge

sorry for the delay. Here is the shader.

How to use it:
1.- Extract virtualboy.glsl and put it in retroarch/shader folder
2.- load Beetle VB core
3.- load a virtualboy rom with load content
4.- go back to retroarch menu. Quick menu. Options. Set "anaglyph preset" to "red & electric cyan" and palette to "black & white". Then "create game-options file".
5.- Go back to quick menu. Go to Shaders menu. Turn "shader passes" to 1. In shader #0 select the "virtualboy.glsl" file. Push on Apply Changes (the first option on this menu)
6.- Close content and reload the rom you want to play.
7.- Magic.

If anyone finds a cheap vr headset that fits the Switch properly and works with this, please post a link B-)

i think the best vr headset is the nintendo's one. Is a shame that doesn´t have a ribbon or similar to atach it to your head. hahahaha. But seriously, the lens quality is great.

Eh aren't there already some phone vr headsets that can fit a switch. Just tweak this shader for it and you'd be good to go.

Thank you so much for the instructions and for sharing the shader. Do you know how I can make it appear with the original black and red colors instead of black and white? I tried changing the palette to “black and red” but that doesn’t seem to do it. I feel like it’s a line in the shader file.

Edit:

Yup I googled it and figured it out which I should’ve done first. For those wondering, there’s a line in virtualboy.glsl that says “#define palette = 1.0” change the 1.0 to 0.0 and you’ll get the original red color.

Just been testing this VB shader out with my new knockoff cardboard headset which arrived today (have since been informed about a not cardboard version)- headset seems ok, and the VB emulator works great in 3D. Have to remember not to move my head, to avoid that fun motion sickness feeling. VB Wario Land seems reasonably fun. Thanks for the awesome shader, works perfect!

Did the shader work fine for everyone else? I tried following the steps but I'm getting one small image on the left :/ Not sure what to do, does any one have any tips?

Also, my material headset from aliexpress came today and though I can't compare to the official one I tried it out on Zelda and it seems to work just fine, esspecially for the £7 I paid :)
