I have one of the newer Wii models (RVL-101) that doesn’t have GameCube ports, and I’ve been successfully using it with GameCube controllers in Nintendont via WiiFlow by using my Wii U USB GameCube controller adapter.
I realized today that my GameCube controllers aren’t working in games like Mario Kart Wii and more importantly, they’re not working in WiiFlow which means that I have to grab a Wiimote just to launch a GameCube game from WiiFlow.
I’m automatically launching WiiFlow Lite 5.2.0 when my Wii boots via Priiloader. My hope is to be able to immediately use my GameCube Controllers in WiiFlow to select GameCube games (without a Wiimote) and to also launch and use Wii games that support GameCube controllers like Mario Kart Wii.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get my GameCube controller working in all scenarios as I described above?
Also, before anyone says that I should just get an original Wii model (RVL-001)... I originally preferred the newer RVL-101 model because (1) I already owned it, and (2) I’ve heard that the newer Wii models have cleaner video output (which I care about since I’m connected to my 480p CRT with component video cables).
