Basically, I've recently bought a second-hand vita (1002 model, 3.70 firmware, using an 8gb Sony Memory Card and 64gb SD2VITA) I've gone through the process of downgrading to 3.60, and installing HENkaku and Enso successfully. (Moleclular shell logo appears during boot) I can load applications and games fine, and I have VitaShell installed but I've noticed some big problems.

The main issue is that the HENkaku settings is completely missing from my settings app. I've attempted to reinstall Enso on the Sony Card like a Reddit user suggested, but it didn't change anything. (Note that henkaku is still active, as when I enter vita shell it let's me know that I'm in unsafe homebrew)

The second issue is that I can't update Enso, which I would like to do so I can play newer games without hunting comp packs.

Other more minor issues include: homebrew app doesn't work, molecularshell disappeared, and visiting henkaku{dot}xyz/go/ comes with an error that says "your at 3.70 or spoofing 3.70"

I'm pretty sure I've screwed myself over. If there's a way to start from scratch and reinstall Enso, then please let me know (I'm a noob!)

henkaku settings is read from henkaku.suprx. it should link to that automatically in the tai config.txt, but I've seen times where it didn't do that. you can find it here: ux0:app/MLCL00001/henkaku.suprx. you need to uninstall ensou first before you update or you could have problems. uninstall ensou, then reinstalling the firmware should wipe it.

Okay, so just to clarify: its safe to uninstall Enso? Also how do I unisntall Enso, is there a guide to do so? Also, what does the henkaku.suprx do? Thanks for the reply btw

you should be able to uninstall with the ensou installer. henkaku.suprx is a user plugin, so it shouldn't go under kernel. check your config.txt. see if henkaku.suprx is listed in there.

Ok, thank you for letting me know about Enso. I checked the config.txt (ur0:tai/config.txt) and I couldn't find the henkaku.suprx What does this mean?

Also, when I open the Enso app, it says the file is corrupt. Is there any other way to uninstall Enso?

Have you made sure you only have one tai folder in ur0?
Post you're config.txt, so we can see what's gone wrong with it.

Have you point the SD2Vita as ux0, not the memory card, and is the file on the micro SD ? it won't show anything if you didnt copy them over from the sony memory card if it was launched from there in the first place.

I checked the pjgj config.txt, and that part is already there. (See the attached image) Does this mean I only have to delete that section from the ur0/tai/config.txt ?

I'm not sure, but it might be on the SD card. Is there anyway to check, and if it is on the SD, to point it to the Sony card?

Yep deleting it from uro and having it already in the pkgj config should work fine

Look at the storage manager config, also remove the pkgj line above , it shouldn't be there, pkgi/pkgj get it own config text.

Alright, I deleted it, it now looks like this (see image attached)

So, just to clarify (because I'm a noob)

Should I reboot my system?
What does changing the config.txt do?
Will this uncorrupt Enso or get my henkaku settings back?

Thanks for all the replies so far btw!

Sure no problem!
Ok good and yes you'll need to reboot for the changes to take effect. the reason why i asked you to delete that stuff from the tai config is because it doesn't belong there and was probably the reason for why henkaku settings wasn't popping up, if your config is correct everything should work after a reboot, even henkaku settings

Well, uh...
I rebooted the console, and it now wants me to format the console/mem card. I ignored it and entered my homr screen, and now all my apps and games are gone.

I think im officially stuck. I guess I'll do a safe system restore and start again from vanilla?

Just to clarify, all homebrew apps/games are gone. Settings, email etc are still there

If henkaku settings is available just choose unlink mem card and reboot it should regain access.

If it's your sd2vita just put sd card in pc and delete the id.dat file it should work on boot without asking you to format and if henkaku settings are still missing your config.txt has an error somewhere.

That worked! Thanks a bunch. Regarding the config.txt, someone on discord gave me a new one to copy over the one I have now. I'll give it a go and see what happens...?

Sure no problem! And yea go for it, as long as it's stock config.txt it should work without a problem. if it doesn't work for you let me know and I'll post one here for you.
