Great news! The game isn't available for sale anywhere, probably due to licensing issues, so a remaster is welcome because it will make it available to more people on more platforms. I originally played it on 360 and always wanted to give it another playthrough, so now I can finally get around to it but with enhanced graphics.
Pastgen ports till the end
Yeah, it's awesome, isn't it? I mean if you already have the original versions, no one is forcing you to buy the remastered versions, and it's not like new games aren't still being released. I'm all for everything being available on everything, and graphical updates are always welcome too.
Great. I didn't like the Wii game at all, since it seemed to have changed the appearance of the characters.

Yeah, the Wii was in an odd position where it was the best selling console, so developers felt compelled to release something on it, but it just wasn't powerful enough to run whatever they were making for the other consoles, so it got a lot of weird games that were basically stripped down or just completely different versions of games on the 360/PS3.
I will forever treat this like Ghostbusters 3. Because that's what it pretty much is. Written by guys that made Ghostbusters, voice acted by the original Ghostbusters. I'm happy to see it being revived. It deserves it. A fine example of a game based off a movie done right.
That's basically what Dan Akroyd said about it when they were making it - that he put a lot of his ideas for Ghostbusters 3 into the game because it was unlikely they would ever get made into a movie. So it really is the third - and last - official outing of the original team.
