What error message do you get?
I would set up an open WiFi for the update process

Not even sure what I should be chosing among WEP, WPA-PSK(TKIP), WPA2-PSK(TKIP), WPA-PSK(AES)or WPA2-PSK(AES). I've tried them all to no avail. My router says the key is PSK-AES, so I assume WPA-PSK(AES).

I get error code 11172 with WPA-PSK(AES) 051310-1 with WEP.

Your router HOPEFULLY uses WPA2 (I HOPE REALLY SO !) and the DSi WEP.
Maybe your Internet settings on your DSi is not correct configured.:)

Considering I'm failing in my attempts to get online to update, do you think 1.4J may be supported in the future?
Maybe, just maybe. We’ll need to wait for Shutterbug to get a response.

Do you think it's just that? I think it could also be that offsets are different on older firmware version, and that's what causes the malfunctioning
Nope, I checked using a retail v1.4.5E, I loaded the exploit on v786 via Unlaunch and it froze when opening the album.

Not natively. Only by emulation.
It's not emulation, it's more like virtualization, but it still has issues (the DSi isn't remotely fast enough to emulate the GBA)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Thats a shame, still cool though. Wonder if GBA Mode is possible in the future sorta like on the 3DS.

It’s just a fact of changing the version code (it only supports v1024 at the moment and v768 and v256 do not work) in the exploit. I just wish I could do it so Shutterbug doesn’t has to do it.
Is there a v0 of the photo app on 1.0J systems? Would be great if this exploit could support them all.

FWtool sha1 -> BB3A584361695C8EF5BDEA50A707088CC07F9E6C *nand.bin
sha1sum nand.bin -> aea2f654d9f1fdcd3c2f5da76af7a47e1ae6bd44 nand.bin
2nd Dump
FWtool sha1 -> FC187AE3489A44A2AFC9801D17D89815AED663 *nand.bin

Do a full format on your SD card, then check if it's bad (you can use h2testw on Windows, but idk about Linux)

The sha1sum is calculated from the actual NAND by fwTool.
After that the no$gba footer is added to nand.bin

If you type sha1sum nand.bin your computer calculates the sha1 for a larger file; 64 bytes larger than the NAND. Truncate a copy(!) of nand.bin and get sha1 of this copy:

DSi_NAND_Sha1.png

But checking the SD like @zacchi4k suggested is always a good idea.

Why does dsi-cfw-guide recommend that you autoboot from HiyaCFW into Twilight, rather than directly booting into Twilight from Unlaunch? Because the latter has a faster boot time, fyi. The Twilight thread says "if you're not using HiyaCFW and instead using Unlaunch alone to boot TWiLight Menu++, you won't be able to play DS ROMs, and only GB(C), NES, and DS homebrew can be ran." yet when I tested, NDS roms booted perfectly fine.

So either the HiyaCFW is still doing a job or it's not needed to boot into NDS roms.
