Just a quick question. Ive homebrewed my wii and wii u but im finding not many sites for downloading PAL Wii games but NTSC seems to be more popular. Is there a way I can patch or convert the regions so that they work on my Wii U Techmoon Injector program. Also NTSC Wii u games too

Is neek2o and an emulated nand as detailed in this guide still the best way to setup WiiWare and VC games for use with WiiFlow and USBLoaderGX in 2019 or is there something better now?

So I followed that guide but when I try to run from the forwarder to start the emulated NAND my Wii appears to freeze on "reloading bootmii IOS!" It seems to be a common problem but I couldn't dig up any good solutions online. I followed this guide to the letter. The only deviation I made was installing rev96 instead of rev95 because I assumed I should install the newest available version of uneek.

Here's what I've tried:

- Renaming bootmiisneek folder to bootmii and placing that folder on the root of both the SD card and USB HDD.
- Waiting like 30min to see if it was just slow to load.
- Deleting everything and performing the steps in the guide to the letter twice.

Additional Info:

- Bootmii is installed as iOS.
- I have a USA 4.3 Wii.

Any ideas or suggestions? =/

Try an emulated Nand built fresh by ModMii, or an extracted nand backup, just something different than what you've currently got now

I've tried deleting the temp folder and COPY_TO_SD, COPY_TO_USB each time I rebuilt the NAND from ModMii and I've tried neek2o rev96 and rev95 separately. I also tried using a premade NAND that I found somewhere on these forums (can't remember the link). All of them give that error. It seems to be a common error but none of the posts I've found have a working solution. :(

Don't delete ModMii's temp folder. It won't solve any problems and it will just unnecessarily re-download everything. Try ModMii's clean nand or a nand dump of your real nand. Otherwise I'm not sure, but try posting in the official neek thread.

I only deleted the temp folder because someone said in another post that they had the same issue and somehow had missing files from ModMii for UNEEK + DI and deleting the everything from ModMii and starting over fixed it for them. It didn't do anything for me though. I'll try the official neek thread, thanks!

Okay so I haven't been able to solve the "Reloading Bootmii iOS..." problem no matter what I do, but I decided to try to see what happens if I use the emuNAND generated from ModMii with USBLoaderGX. I set the EmuNand Channel Path and Save Path to nands/p1_us. When I try to boot the NAND from the features menu within USBLoaderGX options, I get a black screen. I powered off the Wii after about 15-20min of waiting and went back to USBLoaderGX.

Instead of trying to launch the NAND through the features menu, I tried to launch the games that I had installed to the emuNAND from ShowMiiWads and THEY WORK. That's all I really care about. The entire goal was just to get WiiWare and VC games running from USBLoaderGX and WiiFlow (which I haven't tried yet) without having to install to the real NAND. I tested games that are supposed to be problematic without neek mode such as N64 (Super Mario 64) and WiiWare games from other regions (Akumajou Dracula X: The Rondo of Blood) and they all seem to work fine.

Now I have two new problems which should hopefully be easier to solve:

(1) Some of the games don't have their title, just their Title ID. For example, Castlevania: The Rondo of Blood is listed as QAPN in USBLoaderGX. Is there a way I can change this? I don't see any option for it in ShowMiiWads.

(2) Some of the WADs that are probably necessary to run the games show up in the games list, such as NEEK2O. I haven't tried to remove this WAD because I assume it's a critical file. Is there any way I can exclude it from the games list in USBLoaderGX and WiiFlow?

EDIT: It's not fully working like I thought at first glance. I didn't realize that only some games require neek. The games that don't require neek work perfectly (although they take like 15 seconds to start and the disc drive is flashing blue during this time), but Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth freezes on black screen without neek and, if I enable neek, I just get a permanent black screen. Some N64 VC games don't seem to work either. Smash Bros. freezes on the "Classic Controller Required" screen, and I haven't been able to test it with neek since I just get a black screen when I enable it. Ugh.

I'm starting to think it's a compatibility issue with the SD card, which is SDHC. Is there a way to run UNEEK+DI from just the USB HDD rather than SD + USB? If not, any recommendations on what SD card I should get that is confirmed working with UNEEK?

Sandisk 2GB has always been my go to but plenty of sd cards have good compatibility, it's the larger sdhc cards that's are hit and miss
