Hi guys!

So I'm strongly considering buying a modded Xbox360. The seller says it can run burned discs, which is all I need. The seller does not know which chip is in there.

BUT. I want to be able to play Xbox Original games as well, will that be possible?

Here's the important question. How in the H*** do you burn an Xbox original game to a DVD? I have a game on my pc now, it's the game folders (default.xbe etc), but I cannot seem to find one simple way to burn those files to an ISO. It cannot be as simple as just throwing the files and folders into any burning software and bob's your uncle, right? Or is it that simple?

Is the 360 hardware hacked? ie. can you run Freestyle Dash or Aurora?

Running burned discs is something flashed Xboxes can also do (Original xbox games will become a problem then)
If it is flashed, you might want to try XDVDMulleter.
If it's RGH'd (you can run FSD/Aurora), ditch the idea of burning discs and dump a 2 TB HDD in the 360.
Play everything from the internal.

Okay so I'm completely new at all of this, so honestly I can't answer most of it.

1. I know the Xbox 360 has a chip, but do not know which
2. I would very much like to dump a 2TB disk inside and play games internally, but if the unit is already hacked, how will it react to getting a new hard drive? (Might be a dumb question), and does it require something special to get it to fit in the drive tray of the xBox?

Ask the seller if it runs Freestyle dash or Aurora.
If he doesn't know what that is, tell him to boot the 360 with the Eject button.
A blue screen with XeLL or XeLL Reloaded will pop up, this indicates that the console is RGH'd.
Which means that you can run backups from the internal HDD and upgrade it to 2 TB.

To upgrade the HDD to 2 TB, you just need any ordinary 2.5 inch HDD (no thicker then 12mm iirc)
The 360 will format it and you'll need to follow this tut to set it up.
Note that you can use a flashdrive to store newer versions of Dashlaunch or Aurora to use with the installation process.
Just select USB or w/e in XeXMenu when you come to the part of installing it.
The CD is a little outdated but it still functions fine for XeXMenu.

that's a mouthful, So I've asked the seller now, waiting for reply. But regarding the hard drive, does it physically fit in the drive bay? I saw a video of the black Chasis of the hard drive, and I couldn't see any way to unscrew it or take it out.

and is the option of using x360key out of the question ?

It's a Slim?
You can get Slim HDD cases for peanuts on Ebay n what not.

Xkey is possible but depending on what Slim, you might need to RGH it in order to obtain the DVD keys.
At which point I say, keep the RGH unless you really want Xbox live.

Okay. Couldn't care less about live. I just want to find a pre modded one, I don't want to buy one if it's not modded to play from internals. I see a few sites which provide this, with a 250 GB hard drive only.

Aside from flashing the DVD drive which could be done without any additional hardware, there's no softmod for the 360.
Likely will never be one.

Nope, sorry lad, can't help you on that.

Damn but it's okay. Would be so much cheaper to buy a stock one and mod it after. I just don't have the skills to do it.

But you say that as long as it's rgh'ed it can run downloaded games straight off an internal 2TB drive?

Hi again mate. Okay so I think I've found the console to buy. Then I get to thinking, what is the easiest way to transfer xbox orginal and 360 games to the hard drive of an rgh xbox? preferably without using ftp?

transfer to a fat32 drive. I've never seen a 360 game with a 4+ file, and I've never encountered any lag or stuttering. you can access the internal hdd on the pc with a few apps like party buffalo, but they can be unstable with larger drives. it's been years since I've used them. I'd suggest just to keeping dlc, updates, and indie games on the internal hdd.

Okay? Where should I keep the xbox orginal and 360 games if not on the internal?
