7.01 FW - Reinx has been great, but decided to switch over to atmosphere a few days ago just to see what Atmosphere is about. The conversion is pretty straight forward and painless by simply loading Kosmos, Atmosphere release, and sweet patches in that order.

Two reasons for my switch over
1. I cannot play Hellblade Senua until after the switch
2. I am dying to test Edizon ram search. Been using Nswitchdebugger with Reinx

I have not encounter issues with games not working or corrupted SD (using exFat) so far.

What are your reasons for the switch?

Atmosphere is the original cfw for the switch. The updates are fast when a new firmware comes out. More features imo.

It is recommended to use fat32 with 32k cluster. exFAT can corrupt the files within a read or write process afaik. I never had any problems with exfat. But nintendos drivers are crap.

Yes, you can play Hellblade Senua on ReiNX now. They have already been fixed it. That's why I have two CFWs.. Two are better than one. :P

Because it simply doesn't provide me with anything Atmosphere doesn't do just as well (or better), updates are slower, and at this point there's not much of value in it aside of arbitrary connection to anime fandom.

I used to use reinx... I loved it, until 7.0 came out.
reinx updates are very slow imo.
I also switched to atmos and I'm very happy with it.

Nothing. ReiNX and atmosphere are doing the great job. I choose atmosphere for no reason. They both are great CFWs anyway. No competitive. I don't believe in competitive. Just preference, that's all.

Switched to SX masterrace because I couldn't take being offline anymore. So far immensely enjoying the online from a pre-hack clean NAND

I still use exFat for partly that reason, but also because supposedly fat32 has the same issue & it just doesn't show up as much because of randomness.
Already since the start of the homebrew scene, the switch is warned against the use of exFAT for microSD cards, as this leads to long-term data loss. The reason is that Nintendo's FAT driver is flawed and constantly changes files and folders, even in simple reads. The changes are never properly synchronized with the file system, which means that improperly terminating an application / reboot / shutdown causes the file handlers to be lost and then missing from the File Allocation Table. This happens also with FAT32. Since exFAT, unlike FAT32, does not have a second Backup File Allocation Table, the data and folders are irretrievably lost. And this is a good reason to switch to fat32 with 32K cluster size.

does not have a second Backup File Allocation Table, the data and folders are irretrievably lost.

The only time FAT32 switches to the backup is with a media error, the backup file allocation table doesn't save you as there is no mechanism to determine which one is good or not. It's just a random guess why FAT32 doesn't seem to corrupt more often.

It's more likely because exFat doesn't use the file allocation table to determine what blocks have been used, it has a seperate bitmap. Once they are out of sync then until you run chkdsk then any new data you write can corrupt your card.

I never switched over to FAT32 because of laziness. So far, I have no corruption yet. Fingers and toes crossed

Sooner or later it will catch you. Change the file system to be on the safe side.

How to know if the games have signature patches? I bought this switch with Reinx and games already installed...
Here on gbatemp is a thread where you can download these signature patches ;)
