Using the newest stable version that I downloaded yesterday, all of the MAME cores kick me out to the homebrew loader. If I try to load up retroarch after selecting one it black screens and goes right back to the homebrew loader, I have to remove my SD card and edit the config file manually to a different selected core to fix it. Also, using the ozone menu driver (looks great, BTW, thanks for implementing this) if I select a play list the games disappear. Like highlighting the playlist itself shows them, but selecting the playlist causes it to go blank just showing the cover art/time played bar on the right. I tried updating the database and assets within retroarch itself with no luck.

If anyone knows how to fix these I would appreciate it. Everything else seems to work great, I was having a blast playing some SNES Mario rom hacks last night on my WiiU with the SNES 9x core.

RetroArch got a lot of commits today in terms of the WiiU build, made by @QuarkTheAwesome :
https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/search?o=desc&q=wiiu&s=committer-date&type=Commits

To whoever wants to, try to grab the upcoming nightly and give it a go, see what it could have changed.
From the looks of the commits, I think this is related to SD reading and IOSU stuff.
That was mostly cleanups to the existing build process, hopefully making it a little easier to work with. This also fixed the griffin build - not 100% sure on what purpose it serves, but I was told it'd be good to have it working. It also builds with the latest devkitPPC revision, which is nice for development work (don't have to keep switching to an old version)

Right now the big question is rgui, which apparently hasn't worked since multi-pass shaders were added last year F:

(edit: to clarify, nothing should have changed. in theory. if you're keeping your retroarch folder on USB - is that even possible? - salamander might not work)

Is it better to download the channel or go straight for the nightlies?
Also, could someone give me a quick tip on how to copy onto my SD card, I don't know the format.

Thank-you!

Next set of nightlies should have rgui working again! A lot of work has gone into it lately, and it looks really good. I almost prefer it over XMB...
Anyway, enjoy the pixel-menu goodness - it looks especially good with the bilinear filter off. This didn't show up in the commit list because the commits all talk about GX2, not the wiiu - oops!

I am showing duplicates for some of the cores, is this normal? If needed I don't mind uninstalling and reinstalling retroarch, I just don't know how. If someone could explain..

@QuarkTheAwesome Thank-you for responding but I am beginning to have a problem now, I decided to remove Retroarch from the App Store in HBL and removing the Retroarch folders on my SD card and just start from scratch. After downloading the app again from the store and launching it. I update core info files and then move on to update assets but it keeps disappearing after 61% or so and never finishes. I keep on trying but it doesn't finish downloading. Any thoughts?

Can you download it from the retroarch website and use a PC file browser to just extract the files to your SD card?
