Which Game at 1st you didnt like, but enjoy it now?

The game which i thought was dumb was Pokemon Go. but i play it when ever i can now. i didnt like Pokemon Go because it didnt fit in my world of how a Pokémon game should be. ive being playing Pokémon since the start of Gen 1. a Pokémon game on a phone where you dont battle the wild Pokémon was crazy to me among other things. and i really did think it was start of the end for Pokémon as a whole. where you had go to places in real life was not how a Pokémon game should be.

now they have added new features since the start and always adding new one's. now i play it when ever i can. i love that you can transfer your Pokémon to the switch games.

Which Game at 1st you didnt like, but enjoy it now becuase of a update, or even just you didnt give it a chance in the first place?

To be real honest, I would have to say Fortnite.
At first I didn't like it at all, but with time and watching my little brother play I quite like it nowadays

I tried Demon's Souls early on and just couldn't get into it so I ignored all the soulsborne games until watching some LP's of Bloodborne got me to try again, and I started greatly enjoying them.

I think the first time I played Demon's Souls when it came out, I thought it played like hot garbage.

And now, here I am, with thousands of hours in all the Souls games and Demon's Souls is one of my favorites.

Beyond that, iunno really. Most of the games I don't like playing I don't go back to.

This is an old game , but Blastcorps 64. I absolutely hated that game at first , but over time it became one of my all time favorites. Cleared all levels on platinum a few times.

Realm Royale. It felt terrible at first, but I actually like it now. It's a fun spin on Battle Royale games. A good halfway mark between games like Paladins and Overwatch and PUBG

I hated this chubby plumber.

I met my wife - she,a Gamebioy/SNES "maniac" me,a Sega Mega Drive/Sonic "relic".
Together we played Super Mario Bros. 3 through.

Today i like Mario more then Sonic.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, when I first played it I got really unlucky with the RNG and hated it. After the RNG Goddess stopped cursing me it became fun.

long ago, Zelda2. at first I didn't like the 2D dungeon platformer style, but then I completed the game few times.

+1 for sure.... being a massive PS1 FFTactics fan, after half an hour on this, I'm like "WTF have they done?!" And while it never touched the original for me, I started to enjoy it much more after a while.
Suppose this really is the thing when a sequel adds a mechanic so big, or changes the game altogether (like Cyan voting for Zelda II), fans are bound to initially hate it.

Moving away from those games, probably Earthworm Jim. I was there (well, I was alive and gamesplaying at least!) at that E3 when the devs were calling this the saviour of 16bit and will blow your mind, then Donkey Kong Country happened and they got all pissy, slagging it off.... I think I just initially hated the game on principal! But I'll go back to that before the first DKC nowadays!

Team Fortress 2. 11 years ago when I first played it I absolutely did not find it enjoyable at all. After giving it a few more tries though it ended up being my favorite game and I now have 4450 hours of playtime in the game.

(7326 hours of playtime if you are to believe Steam, but I sometimes also just left the game running while doing other things).

Used to be like that towards Rune Factory 4, wasnt amused and went back to harvest moon friends of mineral town. Few months later I ended up playing it for around 100 hours finishing the entire story line.

There aren’t many, particularly now, but back in ye olden dayes I do remember hating Faxanadu to begin with. But I ended up hooked on it.

Haven’t played it for, oh, 30 years or so. Maybe it’s about time I gave it another bash, see what I think of it these days.
