Region doesn't change how CFW installation works unless it's some weird KOR region or whatever, so just check here for the method you can use depending on your firmware: https://3ds.hacks.guide/get-started Flashcarts have been obsolete for months now, so don't worry about it.

Living in Japan is cool for you but the cost of living there is cheaper and affordable than here in America. Temporarily ? I hope you live there permanently. The cost of living there is awesome just the same as Western Europe. One thing I heard about is Fruit and it is ridiculously expensive.

Here is insane.

Japan has an awesome video games in 1980's 1990s which is rare and might be sell there. Rockman games (mint in boxes or brand new)(drooling).

I really wanted to eat pizza today, but I ended up eating tacos.
Then I remembered that time I was in Japan and went to Ikinari Steak.
Not pizza either, but some tasty inexpensive steaks there.

Wait, OT?.... Oh no, I said "Japan" so I guess I am still on topic. Yeah. Videogames.

search for "seedminer 3ds" in a search engine and feel lucky. ;)

thanks, ill give it try as soon as i get my 3ds from mercari. wish me luck!!

Living in Japan sounds like a fairytale to me.

honestly... it is not. ive been here 3 months, and like B.B.King said: "the thrill is gone".
you will get used to the noise, the color, the crowds and then you'll realize tokyo is just like any city, but super far away from your family and friends.

i kinda disagree about the cost of living.
you actually can expend little if you search for cheap places or if you rely on 100 yen shops (like daiso or can do), but overall tokyo is super expensive: i spend almost 9 dollars on y daily commute! (900 yen)

Yeah, I am talking about outside of Tokyo. I know that it is an expensive city place.

Seriously ? You don't eat fish or seafood ? You are crazy! I absolutely adore them. Absolutely my favourite of all time! A minus seafood for me is shrimps, crabs, and lobsters. Hate them.

TBH I would eat almost anything (well, probably I would avoid dog and cat, but not because it wouldn't be tasty), but when I was in Tokyo I think the thing I ate the least was fish (for no particular reason) and almost everything I ate was very good, really tasty.

In general small portions, but with extra taste. Common things anyway, tonkatsu, steaks, yakitori, etc.
I miss the "Japanese" cuisine. (and also the foreign cuisine perfected by the Japanese)

(ps: I really don't like food in Germany in the other hand)

I know what you mean about cats and dogs there. I think its illegal there already but maybe a black market and secret place sell them. Disgusting.

This is too true. I was living in South Korea before I came to Japan, and man, the transportation fee is so expensive. Other stuff is more or less the same as South Korea or any other country in South East Asia.

Quick update:
Got my 3ds LL today. Seems to be in good shape, I don't understand much because I never had one before. But it came with its original box and manuals. And the seller even gave a slide pad for free (I don't know what is it, but with a little help of my friend Google, looks like an interesting peripheral to have a second analog stick, cool!)
I only turned on the 3ds to confirm it's working, and since it has been re-initialized it took me to the 3d calibration screen... In Japanese...

I've been reading the forums specially the noob section, but there's so much information I don't even know where to start.

I would really appreciate a quick "few words" guide. Something like: region change -> install this -> install that.
Then I'll get started and research on my own on the forums.
