Hi! After lots of messing around with cIOS I finally managed to gert USBLGX working, my only issue is I'm not sure how to exit gamecube games without turning off the system? I've heard of RZBDDOWN but that just restarts the game for me, and only works once. Anyone got a solution?

I'm using nintendont and a virtual memory card if it means anything.

install the USBLoaderGX forwarder channel.
Then launch USBLoaderGX and go to settings > loader settings > return to : Set return to USBLoaderGX channel.
I know that, but how do I actually exit the game and return to the channel?

it's a nintendont feature, done using a button press combo :
If you did read nintendont thread you already knew about it (like greywolf linked)

R+Z+Start (easy to remember because ReZStart = restart).
R+Z+B+Down = shutdown. (should exit the game, not restart it)

This button combo works only if you don't enable the "native controller" setting, which works only on Wii anyway. it's purpose is also explained on nintendont guide.

Sorry, I know this is an old thread but I am having the same issue. Your comment was very helpful to me figuring out what is going on because I have enabled native control and I couldn't figure out why the button combination to exit Nintendon't wasn't working. I now understand why, but I was under the impression that you want to enable native control, otherwise you'll get input lag. Is there a way to exit Nintendon't without disabling native control?

there's no lag without native control.
at least I never noticed any on the few games I played.
there's no way to exit nintendont without a combo, and there's no way to read the combo if nintendont doesn't manage the controller's buttons.

some games have the "restart" combo officially coded by nintendo, but there's no way to "exit a game" officially from a game to return to gamecube's bios.

Well, since non-native control are somewhat emulated, there would probably be a few nanoseconds or even milliseconds lag; but unless you are a tournament fanatic, you shouldn't even notice it.

So the best way it worked for me is i bought one of the "wiiU battle pads" that looks like a gamecube controller you can get them from amazon for 10-20 bucks depending on what character controller you want. But those plug into the bottom of the wiimote and are basically a gamecube controller and also have a home button which will return you to USBLGX if you have that set as "return to". Its very nice. Hope that helps
