Just took the time yesterday to setup the stable 1.7.7 release fresh and clean on my Switch. Haven't done that for months, didn't ever try Ozone, didn't ever try PSP before and only once N64 (which sucked back then).
What should I say? This is amazing!
Ozone became my default menu driver. Having playlists with thumbnails of boxarts at the top and screenshots on the bottom, this can't be more beautiful.
Also I did a quick run on Super Mario 64 (N64) and Tekken 6 + Outrun (PSP) without adjusting any settings and all of them even worked flawlessly out of the box.
Now I'll dig into things like full screen, resolution and high res packs but so far I'm really amazed.
This (without any doubt) is the best homebrew and both - the Switch and RetroArch - were born to come together.

Thank you very much for your work, m4xw and natinusala!

What, if any, are the benefits of using CHD over PBP? Are the file sizes smaller? Or gameplay smoother? Is it worth the trade off of not having multi disc games as one file? ( :

Benefits were listed multiple times in the tweet I linked by different people.
Worth the read.

I'm having some issues with the arcade version of Power Drift.
If i try to use any of the mame cores, it just crashes the Switch.

If I use the fba core, it runs perfectly, but it's like the controller isn't calibrated properly. On the course select screen, I can't steer far enough left or right to select course A or E, and it's obvious while playing that the car isn't turning as much as it should.

I can load it in pFBA, and I can select course A or E, but while driving it's like the auto-centering isn't working and I'm constantly having to correct the steering (although weirdly it auto-centres fine on the course select screen).

I've tried poking around in the input settings, but don't seem to be able to make any difference.

According to wikipedia the original screen of the PSP is 16:9. Wouldn't that mean that PPSSPP should touch all edges since the Switch is 16:9 as well?
What aspect ratio did you guys used for PPSSPP?

It does already.
No idea what you did to make it not run at 16:9, but that's the core given and 1:1 PAR ratio.
Until yet I didn't do anything but to put a complete fresh and clean 1.7.7 RetroArch (stable) on my SD lol.
So this "not edge touching" default resolution came out of the box.

It looks like it does in this YT video:

Big black bars on both sides.

Make sure that you set the aspect ratio to "Core Provided" in the video settings. That way each core sets its own aspect ratio and it isn't set globally for everything which really doesn't make sense if you want to play games from multiple systems. Yours is probably set to 4:3, because as far as I know the PPSSPP core always provides an aspect ratio of 16:9 as there aren't any 4:3 games on the system.

Is the "select core" crashing still an issue? Itching to do a fresh install, but not until that's resolved. Didn't see anyone mention it being resolved here.
