Maybe a weird question, but is there a way just to "install" the game icon without installing the full game? My storage is almost full, but i like to add the icon of the future games i like to play later.

When you make a copy of your NAND, be sure to dump boot0/boot1 as well as eMMC raw GPP as all 3 comprise your entire "NAND". The eMMC raw GPP is 29.1 GB in size but if you want something to recover from a brick while losing save data and installed content, you can dump the 2.6 GB eMMC SYS partition instead of the eMMC raw GPP.Okay I'm trying to get everything wrapped up together since i'll be receiving my sx os pro. I want to check that I got everything alright and i'm not missing anything.
First I install SX OS files into my sd card as well as hekate and grab a copy of my nand. Then I install emunand in private disc in the sd (so that it is not easy to check) And I guess I have to install AutoRCM with tinfoil? And then I must avoid .nsp files in my emunand so that my ofw doesn't get banned from online play with my legit games? I still want to play my f2p games in my ofw so I'm trying not to miss any step so that I don't get banned, got SX OS pro because of this. Did I miss anything?
Just move everything from one SD card to another. Files aren't tied to SD cards.I plan to buy new SD card. I have installed game on old one. Do i need copy all below folder to new one (Using sxos now)

2. sxos
3. Emutendo
4. switch -> Homebrew
5. boot.dat

Is all the game icon on old one will show on when i swap new one ?

I plan to use two card so if i copy nintendo and Emutendo it will take same size same games. I wantJust move everything from one SD card to another. Files aren't tied to SD cards.
Well the Nintendo folder stores games for SysNAND while Emutendo stores games for EmuNAND. If you don't want the same games on both SD cards, then you don't transfer the Nintendo or Emutendo folders. But if you do, then you will have to move both of those folders. Either way, everything else on the SD card is necessary for CFW in some way so that's why I said to just copy everything.I plan to use two card so if i copy nintendo and Emutendo it will take same size same games. I want
[Card 1]
1. Game A
2. Game B
[Card 2]
3. Game C
4. Game D
What is exactly folder that i need to copy ?
Thanks
Uh factory resets don't update your firmware...I managed to luckily find a green serial switch today, and it comes on Version 7.0.0.
Unfortunately being a preowned it still has all the old user's profiles on it. Will a factory reset force an update to a new FW, if so is there any way to reset while keeping 7.0.0?

You can update without burning fuses by using the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX which will not only let you enjoy being on the latest firmware but also allow you to downgrade back to your original firmware at any point.Haha thanks, wanted to be sure just in case.
Should I try to maintain 7.0.0 (go get a physical cartridge since i can't access eshop), or should I just update and not worry about warmboot (if that's all keeping 7.0.0 allows). I don't think this switch has exFat support so i'd probably have to update to get that if that changes the decision in any way.
Thank you for the help.
https://guide.sdsetup.com/usingcfw/installnsps/installnsps-goldtreeComing back to my hacked switch after 6 months, Whats the best NSP installer currently? I got tinfoil and SXOS internal installer but both aren't installing a few of my backups for whatever reason. Is there anything on 8,0 that causes certain files to just simply not install? Also I have heard of Goldleaf/Goldtree but I havent found a detailed set of install/usage instructions for it.
***Edit: Found a few answers to my questions, So the main one I have is where can I find a "from scratch" tutorial to get Goldleaf/Goldtree working?
Which error comes up? You tried goldleaf instead?Quick question Im on atmosphere and i can installs nsps through tinfoil-usb with no problem. However i cant seem to install through sd card. Always comes up a error. Any help? I know usb is the preferred way and i do use usb usually but sometimes i load a couple files on my sd to install later so having the option to install from usb is useful. I thought it had to do with sig patches but i have sigpatches installed already,.
Before you update your firmware, you should update your CFW. This is primarily done by just deleting the old CFW folders and files from your SD card then putting the updated ones on the card. If you don't know what are the CFW files and folders, just take a look at the updated files and delete their copies from your SD card. Merging the files don't result in clean updates because sometimes updated CFW no longer use a certain file or folder from a previous version. Once you've updated your CFW, you can update your firmware which is best accomplished with the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX. Not only is it easy to use and navigate but it also updates your firmware without burning your fuses which allows you to downgrade to your original firmware in the future in case a better exploit is released for lower firmware versions such as the highly coveted untethered coldboot.Hey! I'm a bit rusty on how to update my Switch, its on firmware 6.2.0 and I'm running atmosphere 8.3. I got so swamped with school I haven't touched my switch in months
I have my DNS stuff blocked using some server, is there a good guide or can anyway point me in the right direction to get my switch updated?
