Just wondering should I be downloading bios or something for arcade games, I know the players choice games need bios to work if I remember correctly but I’m wondering why some games don’t load and there is only 3 arcade emulators if I’m correct for the switch. I’m trying to get jojo bazaar adventure to load and I’m wondering if it’s even supported with the current cores on the switch, it’s a street fighter type of game.

One more thing I’m wondering right now, is it still not recommended to use the retroarch nsp for n64, not sure if the nsp got any type of update to avoid those crashes n64 got when it was first released on the switch.

Not sure what im doing wrong. I downloaded the latest nightly and switched the title id in the config folder. I press R and Load up smash bros and it takes me to the homebrew menu. I then launch retroarch go to "load core" and it freezes and then boots me back to the home menu of the switch.

Edit never mind i got it working by going to load content. But weird that it crashes when i go to "load core"

nsp is not supported, don't use it, the only supported method rn is title redierection (holding R during game launch)

all jojo games work for me with fb alpha without any bios..you only need neogeo bios for neogeo roms, and jojo is cps-3 like 3rd strike (my roms are from v0.2.97.39 romset)...

Will try out fb alpha again, maybe I just have a bad copy. Thanks for the reply. Might look into that romset.

The NSP works fine, as mentioned it's not supported but I've been using it since it was released and no issues

I have the same issue with the latest nightly, something must be wrong with it as the other ones from this week worked fine, I suggest you try one from a couple days ago. Doing that as we speak.

Well I guess there is something more to it, I cannot get a build from this week to work, I guess I'll try a fresh install from the stable build and see what happens :/

Nintendo should just sell RetroArch Switch bundles, kind of how PlayStation did with the Classic/PCSX and Capcom is going to do with FBA.
sarcasm..if you lack distinction
My screen has been filled with homebrew N S Ps for the longest.

The N64 version of RE 2 has the best controls I've tried in older horror games. Capcom should have sold that Smooth Turning function to devs.

If you're referring to the Original NSP that came with RA once upon a time, then NO, don't use that anymore. Instead, it would be better to create your own NSP forwarder using Nro2Nsp. But as previously stated, the only official supported method is using Title Redirection by holding down "R" and launching any game from the Title Screen. But using an NSP forward works fine, the only issue I've found is if you try to use the "Quit RetroArch" option from the Main Menu, then your Switch will crash and you will have to reboot. Instead, it's best to just press the Home Button and manually close it by pressing "X" and then select "Close".

For some reason, trying to press Y to search in the RetroArch menu on nightlies causes the Switch to force reboot when it should call the system keyboard. I don't think this bug occurs in earlier versions IIRC.

Mupen 64 plus next with glide64, I just updated mupen plus next core and it went from 1.7.6 to 1.7.7. Just curious because core information doesn’t say it, is glide64 now part of mupen plus or do I have to actually do the separate download from page one of this thread.

I'm having a major issue. I haven't messed with any of the files since the 15th nighty. All of a sudden when I select core it crashes and closes the app I use to load it. I tried installing the newest nightly and loader and same thing. I'm on the newest kosmos cfw and I'm using the atmosphere take over method
