I figured out a way to dual boot horizon os and Ubuntu. You can flash the SD image and copy the 1.2 files over then you can move the second partition down and resize it up then you can resize the 1st partition and it can be used with the switch and you can copy all your switch files over. You can only really do this with gparted so you'll have to setup a vm, install it or use another different way of doing it
i did that from the first day, but i used Aomei

Just got this setup, amazing work!

For some reason when I enlarged my FAT32 partition and moved my ext4 partition to the end through gparted it resulted in Hekate not being able to find my FAT partition (NOFAT error), can't say why as all other devices could read it fine. Regardless if anyone is faced with the same issue I solved it by just copying the files off the FAT partition, reformatting it to FAT32 again and then copying the files back, then it could boot without issue

It was still my first partition, I just moved the ext4 partition to the end of the disk (and expanded it a bit) and then resized the fat32 partition to fill the remaining space. Can't explain why the error occurred but the fix was straightforward at least

Is the fat32 partition still primary?

Edit:Nvm, I’m an idiot.

Not true. LCD screens do burn in. Image persistence is a type of burn in that is not supposed to be permanent but I've personally experienced real burn in on an LCD and know a couple of people that have had the same issue.

Or you could get a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse
I was correct, lcds dont burn in, burn in is a totally different things to image persistence. image persistence is ALWAYS reversible by just turning off your screen for a few days and can NOT be caused by drivers.

Wrote the same few pages back, was the same for me. Formatting fat32 partition solved it.

For anyone that may be interested: I can confirm that innoaura usb c hub/dock works in l4t ubuntu, however melopow m002 (style) usb c hub/dock does not work.
+ the usual yada yada about you shouldn't use 3rd party docks/hubs only original nintendo dock..

Did you manage to get HDMI out to work? I also have the innoaura and I‘m pretty happy with it. Everything works with Horizon, but with L4T HDMI didn‘t work. Did you try Ethernet?

Are there any particular recommendations on how to shutdown / reboot from it ? Risks of sd corruption maybe ? How does it behave with autoRCM on shutdown ?

Shut it down from the Menu, once the screen goes black, hold the power buttong for 12 sec to shut it down.

You can also use hekate and shut it down from there.

is there any way to calibrate the touchscreen? my clicks end up like 2cm to the right and around 3cm up from where I press on the screen. It worked fine on natinsulas linux builds previously

I think it's only a issue with using other desktop environments than unity and gnome. he has a fix if you search around but it breaks touch on the login screen
