What games in your opinion sucked on it? I think the the same for the Nintendo GamecubeNice but it is not great console at all. I guess I will wait for it to get better first. There are very few that I would liked to try and that's about it. Most games sucks, to be honest.
So, if anyone is still having trouble running the emulator, here's how I solved mine.
1. Put reicast.nro in Switch folder
2. Make a 'reicast' folder in the main SD card folder.
3. Make a 'data' folder in the reicast folder that you just created.
Now You need Dreamcast BIOS files, just search 'dreamcast BIOS' in google and download those two files from any site.
4. Put those two files (dc_boot.bin AND dc_flash.bin) in data folder.
5. Now make another folder in reicast, called Games
6. Put all your ROMS in Games folder.
---------------------------
7. At main Switch screen launch any game while holding R trigger and it will end up on your homebrew menu.
8. Now launch reicast app and go to settings (B button is select button in reicast and A is back).
7. Go to settings and select your Games directory as default 'Content Location' (second last option under General menu)
8. Now when you select Done, it will show you all the ROMS which you can play.
The (-)minus button is your menu button while inside the game.
Hope it helps you. Took me a while to figure it out.
I’ve downloaded Shenmue because I’ve never played it, in the zip there’s two disc 3’s one labelled 1s the other 2s, what does this mean? :/
I believe it was how the pirate groups ripped the discs at the time, Shenmue was a pretty huge file to compress i believe (650MB Blank CDs were the norm before the 700MB - 950MB "rare" upgrades and better compression techniques later on after it's death)I’ve downloaded Shenmue because I’ve never played it, in the zip there’s two disc 3’s one labelled 1s the other 2s, what does this mean? :/
When you reach disc 2, no need to boot again with disc 1. All 3 discs have the boot title menu.Begin with disc 1, later in the game you will be asked to swap with disc 2, same for disc 3. It was too large in terms of data to use only 1 disc.
CDI is basically smaller file size while GDI is the standard dreamcast file size (1.2gb)What's more reliable cdi or gdi?

oh.. i thought you meant cdiI’m not sure that’s the case here as all the discs are .gdi and are all over a gig in size :/
to each their own, but i still do agree about the gamecube gamesRight. Nintendo GameCube games sucks too.. I liked only Mario and Zelda and anything else doesn't mean anything to me. The same for Dreamcast.. Not sure what games I liked. I saw a few and most doesn't interested me at all.
I tried this on a fat32 card and it still keeps having system crashes every 2-3 min. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
I’m on SX OS. Does that make a difference ?
chd is the lord of compressionchd compression works in this as well.
gdi is "better" as cdi is almost a modified iso (usually to save space).
