Hi guys- I bought SX os when it first came out. Ive never installed autorcm and I took a break from playing switch for a while.

Fast forward to now- I pick up the switch- (fw 5.1) and stick the new sxos on it. Now nothing seems to be working- my backup nsps (toejam and earl, ff7 , cuphead) all give the message "could not start the software" or "system update required". Ive been out of the 'scene' for a while, I have no backups of fuses or Nand etc ...

Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Cheers!!

It is pretty simple, go to the SX OS option menu, and create an emunand, you have the option of creating a hidden partition or the file on the SD card, hidden partition would still work if sd card get corrupted and file on sd, if the sd card is corrupted there is a chance you would lose the emunand.

So, I made an emunand and used Chiodujour to update to 7.0.0, but now SXOS just boots into a black screen. If i turn emunand off, i can go back to 5.0.1 as before. Does this mean something went wrong during install? Can i just delete the emunand from SD and try again?

Also you might want to update EmuNAND to 8.0.1
Make sure you have latest SX OS beta.

Maybe your sd card doesn't like EmuNAND files? Have you tried EmuNAND at console's internal memory?
