I'm almost 100% sure I'm gonna be disappointed by the FF7 remake. They took a game about strategy and turned it into what looks like a single-button-mashing beat 'em up game. It's got nice graphics, but that's about it.
I'm soz but the ff7 world and characters deserves to be made into an action game showing off all ther moves and abilities

I'm rather disappointed about this move as well. An optimized ATB battle system would be preferable, with some cinematic LBs and summons. At this point, we can only hope that it's not a floaty mess like recent KH installments.

This is why you purchase a N3DSXL or a N2DSXL to play the original FF7 at 60FPS

lol strategy. Wut? Its archaic turn-based combat has not aged well and is extremely repetitive and predictable. It had some good ideas, Materia was fun, but overall that's the only thing 7 had going for it.

It's amazing you somehow figured out the entire combat system and all details about it from a 1 minute trailer featuring 15 seconds of combat at the very beginning of the game.

I don't mind much that they're turning it into an action game, but it seems like they're oversimplifying it and making it too much of a guided experience. Like FF13, for example. I'm not sure how well the combat is gonna measure up to DMC5 or Nier or Bayonetta.

And button-mashing isn't repetitive?

It's obviously not that complex, just pause it when the UI is on screen.
