OP
I just unbricked my switch by restoring an old nand backup which brought my system back down to 6.x and booted into ReiNX to update to 7.0.1 using Choi which was successful

However now I can not boot into any of the 3 CFWs as they only seem to show their splash screen and than shut the system off

How would I go about fixing this?

Are you using latest payload ? are you using exfat SD card ? if so did you select update with exfat support using Choi ? also be sure you are using latest firmware files.

Im using an exfat card, and did select exfat during the update.

As for the latest files, I presume you're talking about 8.x?

I meant latest CFW files .. I know your on 7.0.1 but you should still use latest CFW files on the SD card. Your old files for 6.x won't work

Just updated reinx manually to be safe

It just flashes the ReiNX logo for half a second, followed by the atmosphere logo than a shutdown

Backup your SD and then rebuild it from scratch . I would full format it 1st. it's some thing going on with the SD card. had the same issue and after trying a bunch of things that did it. or try another SD and build from scatch as a test run

Did you use a custom theme?
I did, but it was on SXOS so that shouldn't affect reinx or atmo

Was going to tell him try KOSMOS also , works great for me. some people bash it not sure why. I have zero problems
Did a new nand restore to be safe which should have brought me back to 6.x

Used Kosmos and replaced the folders that it said too within the Github and that seemed to do it

I'm not using ReiNX now cause of it but that is perfectly fine aha

Thank you for the assistance

Yup! All is well.

really should have stayed on 7.0.1... youll find yourself trying to go back... go ahead and update again in your current state. should all work after that. Use KOSMOS update in home brew then update firmware with ChoiNX... to be safe get a different firmware file for 7.0.1 encase that was the problem some how.

but thats all up to you ... I have reason I run 701.. maybe you dont

I have no reason to stay on 7.0.1. My system autoboots already thanks to a trinket m0. So as long as it boots and I can play games with my friends I'm happy :)

Either way, I didn't burn fuses thanks to choi and autoRCM so if I ever do find a need to go back it will be ezpz

Sounds like you may have not had the sept folder on SD required for fw higher than 6.2.
Hi Philliyxx could you expand on this/ point me to where I can read about it? I was on a firmware > 6.0 which I had successfully updated to using choiNX, yesterday I tried to update to 8.01 using choiNX and the new version of sxos (but not the beta boot file). After updating with choi it prompted a restart, gets to the splash screen then just goes black, no power light on the dongle either but ive tried charging both up. Also is there a problem downgrading from 8.01 if you haven't burnt the fuses?

Thanks for any help you can give

Sounds like you used choiNX as it's an app/Homebrew actually on the Nintendo switch. The original choidujour is a series of software you is on a PC or Mac.

I am not too versed with SX but SEPT is an encrypted exploit that atmosphere creator used to get 7.x keys so your switch can boot cfw higher than 6.2. To my knowledge SX doesn't need this as they have their own method

If you need to downgrade shouldn't be a problem fuses burnt or not burnt, you can use choiNX, restore nand, or choidujour(can only downgrade to firmware 6.1 or lower).

IF you downgrade with burnt fuses it just means you have to boot through hekate or a newer version or fusee primary (as I hear it skips fuse check now)
