Devil May Cry 1 will release on the Nintendo Switch this Summer

Joining the litany of ports available on the Nintendo Switch will soon be the very first Devil May Cry game. Capcom didn't divulge any further details other than the release date, which is slated for Summer 2019. Devil May Cry saw its original release in 2001, for the PlayStation 2, and would later get an HD upgrade on PC/360/PS3.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of a game that I would love to see ported to the Switch. Must admit that Devil May Cry isn't exactly a priority for me personally, but anything that makes a game accessible to more people is a good thing in my book.

It's gonna be inferior to the ps3 version anyway as wil hav no trophies - shocking how Nintendo hav not an achievement system in place - games are so mor playable trying to achieve goals

We like NEW, ORIGINAL third-party games. Not shitty 360 game ports due to lazy devs not wanting to make new titles.

Come on!! Thats not good enough, Capcom. Bring A hd collection+4 and a brand new Devil may cry 5. They promised it will port to Nintendo Switch if Dragon Dogma was sell very well. I am watching you, Capcom.

I'm sure Capcom are shaking in their boots.

On the bright side, at least the Switch isn't getting ports on games from nearly ten years. It's now getting ports of games from nearly 20 years ago.

Already own it for 360 also somebody already orginal XBOX port to Switch and it is slow it ran on JSRF JETSET RADIO FUTURE pretty good

Still, why not port 1-4 over, at least? I understood with Onimusha, but DMC1-3 already have been remastered, on the 7th generation of consoles and x86-based systems, granted, but still.

Wow, just one game? The only way I can defend this, is if they charge 15 dollars for it, and plan to release the rest of the games for 15 dollars each over time.

I doubt it, there was a collection for other newer consoles. mind you all they changed was the render resolution, just like most "remasters".

Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
