majority of my games are xci but I have some nsp. Afraid to update now. On 7.0.1 and 2.6.2

Good thing I never use sx installer and been using goldleaf/tinfoil combo for nsp installs. Everything works great when I upgraded to 8.0.1 with latest sx os beta.

SX-OS 2.7.1 supports Firmware 8.0.1.

Depending on how/if you installed XCIs/NSPs, some of your titles may no longer work but will work if uninstalled and reinstalled with Tinfoil.

Nope that was already fixed back with v2.6.2 beta released last month:

Game compatibility fixed for games that require firmware 7.x
Some recent games (like 'Hellblade Senuas Sacrifice') failed to boot with SX OS. This has been investigated and addressed in this update.

EDIT: I was using a custom theme, after removing sxos/titles/0100000000001000 folder - emunand is working fine with 8.01 now.

do i need any files in the sxos directory on my sd card?
after i updated to 2.7.1 beta and 8.0.1 my cfw stopped working
im on exfat sd no emunand updated via horizon

ive tried turning it off multiple ways and nothing is working
i cant get into the sx os menu at all
it was working fine before :/

It has been reported up thread that custom themes cause this problem. If it isn't that, then try another SD card formatted with only the basic SX-OS (or Atmosphere) boot files.

It is highly likely to be something fairly simple if CFW was working OK before.

i run sx pro with no custom anything and i have(knock on wood)never had an issue. Rather enjoy a smooth running system than a pretty ui, dont get me wrong i love cool @#%$, but enjoy performance over it.

Will older installed nsp's always be broken, or can I just ride it out until the next release and hope it's been fixed? I have about 100 installed,reeaally don't want to have to do all that!

How do you manage to play 100, or like you are playing 3 different games per day ?

i haven't been able to get the updates for MK11 to install on 8.0.1 / 2.7 beta - there are two im aware of and both were grabbed and just didnt work. I will re grab this thing for a 3rd time however unless the DLC is done a diff way then just "install all" along with the update in the same folder im not sure. it processes the whole thing installing ncas etc however then it just says failed at the end. the backup finally at least loads on this cfw which is cool but its basically limited to playing ONE match and choosing another character at the moment on SX for me.

anyone that has another cfw running MK 11 backup with current update etc please let me know which i think its time to make the jump to something that works a bit easier to get things installed at this point. thanks so much!

I have over 700, and I've played about a third of them so far.
A large amount of those are not worth spending more than a few hours with apiece, tbh. The 100 or so on my sd card are a mix of current games I'm tearing through, old favorites, and stuff I've yet to fire up. I like having lots of options.
This has been true of me since the NES...I have and play lots of games.
