Hacking Question Keeping my fuses safe with SX OS Emunand

Hi,

I got a switch on FW v3.0 and I wonder if I can set up an Emunand with SX OS to play online with gamecards and keep my fuses safe ?

Yes you can. The main reason of emunand is that.

Now the problem is the game cartrdrige update on 4.0.0. I read somewhere that emunand doesnt update it, but first make sure before you update emunand

wait, you will not get banned when playing online on emunand?
I thought emunand is for offline and sysnand is for online

You will get banned playing online in EmuNAND. Only clean SysNAND won’t get you banned using online services.

If you were able to boot to EmuNAND without cfw applied, it would be safe. But that is not currently possible.

It protects cartridge update at the first time injecting but the next time.

you dont need emunand for that just enable autorcm update with choi and your fuses will be fine

the main reason of emunand is keeping a clean sysnand to play online on
fuses can be protected with autorcm

I know using atmosphere on sysnand (or emunand once it releases) is unlikely to get you banned (assuming you don’t pirate, cheat, etc). Dunno about SXOS on either though

To the general public they play backup so that is piracy, SciresM doesn't support piracy that why he doesn't include fs_patches and es_patches, people still get ban regardless of Sysnand or Emunand that they run custom firmware off from, they will get ban due to the way how Nintendo Anti Piracy check work now a day.

Nintendo can still ban you, doesn’t matter if you pirate or not. CFW breaks the contract you made with Nintendo when you accepted their rules. Also it doesn’t matter if you use SX OS or atmosphere.

As it has been stated before by many people here, using any manner of technical modification which includes but is not limited to:

Simply running custom firmware on your switch
installing NSPs/XCIs
Cheating
Loading various homebrews etc etc

So to put it simple, if nintendo detects any traces of said activity they could kick you off of any online activity. Furthermore this could potentially ban your cert thus making it impossible to download from nintendo's cdn servers such as system updates and game updates.
Therefore it is NEVER recommended to go online on a hacked switch unless deemed safe to do so by our community.
