Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night now has a release date

After multiple delays and years of waiting, Koji Igarashi's Kickstarter'd Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has locked in its final release date. The spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is slated for a summer launch, on June 18 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch users will get a chance to play the following week, on June 25th. A quirky trailer shows off the fact that Bloodstained's graphics and lighting have also been overhauled, improving on what we saw in the initial demos and footage of the game.

There's hope for a Xenosaga port.

The colors are more vivid, but am I the only one seeing the same, terrible models and styles?

Still getting it on PC, I suppose..
I like the models and styles, but they do look the same if that's what you mean. The shading is the big change.

That said, no matter how it looks the gameplay physics need to feel right.

That was a great trailer. Koji Igarashi has a great sense of humour. The changes are pretty night and day specifically for separating background from foreground which was my only real complaint with the game. It looks significantly better now.

Can't wait to play. I'm super hype for some sweet sweet metroidvania action.

Gotta be able to laugh at yourself sometimes! Great sense of humor on Igarashi's part, and the game came out looking better than ever for it!
