If you override your original file, then you lost it, always make a backup before editing.
i thaught i did but now its gone i looked up some other methods some of wich include getting one of those backup app things but they all want me to pay $100 and im not doing that there was also another one that sayed that i cant recover an edited file ????
and another one sayed i should try to use filezilla but i cant figure out what to do with that
so there is no way to even just get the save that i have now the edited one to work.............. would i have a better chance if i updated the game cos i ony have it on 1.0.0

Unless PKHex made an auto-backup (can't remember if it does this by default) in the usual location then unfortunately I don't think there's a way to recover it.

Wouldn't hurt to check though.

You can always inject someone else save into your cart/digital copy, but there are limit, you can't really go online as the info match someone cart/digital copy. You can always start over and backup your save and learn how pkhex.

If you don't have a backup of the original save file, you might be out of luck. If you post the save file here, I might be able to find the problem and/or fix it.

Yeah, always make a backup. When i edit my save, i make 2 backups, I create two folders named "Org-Backup" and the other "Modded".

That way I know my original saves are safe, i also create a folder for each save inside those folders with Timestamps.

But there is also a homebrew app for all 3ds Pokemon game, a save editor that runs right on the 3DS, it's called PKSM. You can install it as a CIA and run it from the home menu, or run it as a 3DSX with HBL. I usually use the CIA version.

Last time I used it 2 years ago PKhex automatically makes a backup whenever you load a save. Also, you probably saved in a Pokémon center. For some reason, PKhex couldn’t handle saving in a Pokemon center last time I used it.

Phones worked great for DS emulation with DraStic and a controller that held your phone

Yeah it works great but it's the obvious Ds factor you loose from it it's not like playing atari games on atari because Nintendo actually use to give a reason to buy their hardware

I used a vertical touch 22" monitor for playing some 3DS games through Citra.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Can't be that far off from it not like ds requires super hardware
  • HiradeGirl @ HiradeGirl:
@K3Nv2 I did that using Citra for 3DS games. Bottom screen was my smartphone. Until I got the touch screen.
  • SwordShielder @ SwordShielder:
    Use a TV
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
