Boy why so negative? That kind of stuff only hurts 3ds emulation scene. Please don't try to turn this into something it's not. There's nothing wrong with keeping the awesome unofficial things up to date with the current official builds. Maybe in your perception, it's dead. While not quite as much as a few years ago, I still see plenty of activity on github, forums, discord, streaming coding sessions, dev engagement, etc.

I'm focused on DKC3D and every little bit helps that game.

I stated the truth, all citra development team went to yuzu and other projects.
This is why ther eis hardly any movement in the unofficial and official scenes.

You need to stop dreaming kid.

Might not be his Computer. Example, I have a MSI GE63 Raider RGB 8RE, has a GTX 1060 (6GB), i7-8750H (2.20Ghz), 16GB RAM, with 2 SSDs (1 and 2TB). NSMB2-GE starts out perfect. The more time goes by, the more it Slows down. Get to the World Map, it is perfect. Then go into another World, it slows down again.
I expected it was known\shared. So, will just repeat as a random newbie gbatemp guest here - there is an option of "clear cache every N seconds" [30; or try less/more] in SiCKc builds https://github.com/sickc/citra , which fixes slow downs related to a long run time. [checked now - there are public April builds for all the variety of hardware. If a one will want more - he can also learn to build from source [buttons pressing, free of programming, there is lots of other emulators and more interesting software, call it a GitHub dimension], and have as fresh builds as he wants to. [all thanks to opensource, and people with wide world of view]

Guys quit it please lmho

I'll have a bit later, dkcr should not freeze but is little slow, but let us know if freeze ? since I do not play the game fully, enabling FMV option should make it a little faster.

Glad to know that Anaglyph 3d is now merged into the Canary build :)

--------

Here is a little Sandbox to play with too at thread.cpp line 92 and 98
https://github.com/Timmy5942/citra-...e7fcaac#diff-026ae30e0e7112cb315ff4a38e14f50f

New changes are
https://github.com/Timmy5942/citra-1/commit/341e7aaf8bf795fd91271c85f294b38f8ead355e

If I get the barrow to role then it still freezes on second loading screen, (Note) On a original 3DS the starting Loading screen only give "One line of Dots" then game starts.

PS: Sound playing to fast is FMV you can uncheck and reset emualtor

I get a black screen if FMV is enabled, so I have to leave that off.

Thanks for the updated build! I'll test out DKCR3D and update this post later with results.

Edit: Haven't had a freeze yet! Played 4 lvls straight. Before I could barely get through 1-2 without a freeze. Wonder what the root cause was. Oh well. Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D seems stable now with the only issue being the sped up audio (because speed limiter is set to 240% to reach full speed).

Yes forgot to mention just to "Check" this for the game to work, Then enable disable FMV if wish too.

Its on auto disable, so it don't interfear with other games.

what it's mean?
This will resolve the pops and clicks in the game audio like Fire Emblem, Pokemon X/Y
and other games where HLE AAC decoder is used.

The pops and clicks are caused by the signal clipping, by clamping in the calculation, the peaks are smoothed out so the hard clipping will be avoided.

Donkey Kong Returns 3D runs great on this build. Pretty much perfect (minus the unavoidable sped up audio). Thanks for making this game fully playable which might not be the case ever via official means.

Yep its far from perfect, but lest playable - sandbox old code fix.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Can anyone please reupload this build?

Sorry since this site got blocked in UK, I cannot redownload it, I nether keep a copy either

Maybe someone has it and can reuploaded it to other host ?..

Are maybe but local win10 vpn to France are some think, should be youtube videos.

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

    Interesting lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
