@DarkJaguar @bcoleman and everyone else.
i have fixed the wiiflow forwarders on wiiflowiki 4. they should properly use patched AHBProt.

https://sites.google.com/site/wiiflowiki4/forwarder-channels

and by the way you do not need to uninstall your current wiiflow forwarder. installing a new one will overwrite the old one. also when using a wad manager make sure you are using a cIOS like cios 249 to install them. some wad managers (MMM and wiimod lite) startup with IOS58. you must change their current IOS to cIOS 249 or else you will receive an error when installing these forwarders.

wiimod lite works on vwii. i don't think Multi Mod Manager does.

your backgrounds with the source button is already available with beta 4 i posted for you. maybe you should try it.
and yes n64 vc nand games with wii64 will be capable.
but will it be possible for separate emunands to be on separate source buttons?
so, for example, you can have an emunand with N64 VC games and other one with wiiware games

You're the man. :yaywii:

I got one for you but it might be far fetched. A year ago someone released a "Wii GCA Inject" which allows you to use a GameCube adapter on Wii games for the Wii U.

https://smashboards.com/threads/wii-gca-inject-pm-on-wii-u-with-gamecube-adapter-beta.453431/

Brawl/Project Melee specifically but other games that support it probably would work as well. Anyways, I downloaded GeckoOS but no controllers connected. So I got an alternative called "WiiLauncher" which was working until I realized I needed the disc version of Brawl to make this work. So I'm wondering...would you be able to figure it out with WiiFlow Lite on a wbfs?

I don't know any details but it seems simple enough. All the patch requires is that you enable "SD card patching" and have the ".gpf" file on the root of your SD card. Bam you can use a GC controller. Think WFL is capable of this and without a disc?

Wow, I haven't been away long and it seems there's been a flurry of activity. As always @fledge68 , amazing work!!!

Quick question re forwarders, as I'm updating to the "new" WFL which now runs in the old wiiflow directory.
On the wiki page, under "Additional forwarders supplied by @MassiveRican and Abz below." Are these forwarders ok to use, still? My kids don't like it when I take their SMG forwarder away, as they are old enough now to have nostalgia it seems!.

Once again, thanks for the incredible work you do for us all.

I see that there are options to hide the GameCube, Channels and Plugins icons, or all Source icons altogether, but no way (that I found) for hiding the Homebrew icon.

I like to see (and that people in my household see) only games in Wiiflow. Whenever I want to launch some specific homebrew app not as a shortcut to a game (rarely), I exit to HBC and launch it from there, so I had rather WiiFlow just hid all of them.

Could you add that to Settings, @fledge68?

Also, on the same vein, the Home button on the Wiimote already opens the Home menu, so I had rather not also see the Home icon onscreen. I will not use it and I had rather people in my household didn’t touch it. Could we have a way to get rid of that icon too?

hide homebrew icon? yes. actually if/when i make wiiflow totally use plugins I was hoping to replace all of them with one source button which for users who use the source menu would go to the source menu, for those that don't it would simply go to the plugin select menu. Pressing 'b' would still be there as an option.

hide home icon? no, not at this time. I personally would much rather press wiimote 'home' button to go to a exit to menu, like it does on most other homebrew apps. i was considering combining home menu and main settings, where the settings button would take you to the home menu which would have a button for main settings. but i don't like the extra step this would take to get to main settings.

@comokepa , the option to hide the Homebrew icon is found on Settings Page 12. Click 'Set' on Homebrew Settings and you will find the Hide Homebrew Button.

If you are using a theme, you can hide/delete the screen icons by changing their size to 0x0 in theme.ini. This is how the Home button is hidden on the main screen in the Rhapsodii theme:

[MAIN/QUIT_BTN]
click_sound=
effect_scale_x=1
effect_scale_y=1
effect_x=200
effect_y=0
elmstyle=
height=0
hover_sound=
texture_normal=
texture_selected=
width=0
x=0
y=0

These changes, however, will only be reflected in the currently loaded theme, and will not affect the Default WiiFlow setup.

I see. I did not find it because the Spanish localization string for that menu is wrong (it says “Download covers”). I will do a pull request fixing that as soon as I can.

EDIT: It was apparently fixed in a commit on March 7th but it's not yet on the latest release.

No idea but just in case it helps:

I’ve hacked three Wiis, all using only ModMii (quite sometime ago so I do not know whether all it needs and tries to download is still available). After whatever it instructed me to do, which every time I forgot seconds after having successfully modded them, I never bothered with selecting iOS 249, 250 or whatever. They just work.

The HDDs I’ve used them with (100-500MB) have always been formatted with macOS Disk Utility, in FAT32 format and MBR partition type, which purportedly makes them 32KB per cluster without any further tinkering, which seemingly Nintendont works better with, I think I read somewhere.

To load Wii backups, I’ve always used WiiFlow mastermod, and WiiFlow lite, like I said, without any special setting.

Admittedly, I’ve only played a handful of games using them.

So you're using a flash drive and not an USB hard disk. Then this is most likely the reason why your games are not working. Usb keys and hd enclosures are known to cause compatibility issues.

I'd opt for one what has a separate plug in power supply, not USB powered. If you do go with USB powered get a USB Y-Cable to make sure the drive gets enough power so it doesn't drop out on you and cause problems..

I've always had good luck with Western Digital MyBooks. I've used them all 1TB, 2TB, 3TB, 4TB, 6TB, 8TB & 10TB. You can stick to a 4TB & under for ease of use. The 3 & 4TB version will need to be formatted with FAT32GUI Formatter to get it to the proper FAT32 with 32k format. With 6TB & above you'll have to do some extra special formatting to get the whole thing to work, too much to go into here. If you go the 6+TB route contact me and I can walk you through it. I'm running things off of a WD 10TB, well that and a PNY 256BG SDXC card.

From what I've heard around the forums Western Digitals always work. Seagate's seem to have issues, like the ability to keep them from going to sleep, but I've had no personal experience with them.

Y-cables are not required on the wii, unless you're using a wii-u. The HD that I suggested works perfectly and it doesn't need an external power supply, so I don't undetstand why should he pick one with the annoyance of an external power supply when it is not needed. The only thing to really avoid are hard drives with 4k clusters, they have issues with a few neek2o games

No. This is an internal sata hard drive, you will need an enclosure for it. But you may run into problems with it, very likely.
I expressly said to avoid it in one of my previous posts

This was the one I was suggesting to you
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-Ca...c.&qid=1556306798&s=computers&sr=1-3-fkmrnull
I know this is more expensive than an internal HD, but I can guarantee you won't have any issues with it.

Well that sucks I bought it with a Sata to usb not an enclosure and worse come to worse it’s getting a return and I’ll get the one you have suggested the 2016 model rite?
