Hi @Wiimm

Couple of quick questions about wiimmfi patching if I may:

I have a library of WIA compressed Wii games that I have recently batch processed with "wit --wiimmfi"...
1. How does using "wit --wiimmfi" differ from applying "mkw-wiimmfi-patcher-v6"?
2. Will Mario Kart Wii (and other games) work with wiimmfi if I simply use "wit --wiimmfi"?

Also, I was reading the info at "wiki dot tockdom dot com / wiki / ISO_Patcher" and it says that your patcher will reduce the ISO to 1.4GB, but that is not happening when I run "mkw-wiimmfi-patcher-v6"...
3. How can I achieve this size reduction?

Thanks a lot!

@wiindsurf
1. "wit --wiimmfi" does the generic Wiimmfi patch that works with most games. Using the mkw-wiimmfi-patcher also adds Mario-Kart specific patches required as of November 2018, and changes some texts in-game from "Nintendo WFC" to "Wiimmfi"
2. Mario Kart Wii won't (it requires the special patcher), other games most likely will
3. That size reduction is done by removing some of the (very large) in-game videos that can play on the title screen. The normal Wiimmfi patcher doesn't do that, it preserves as much of the original game as possible. I don't know if there is a setting to make it apply these size-reduction patches as well

I just stumbled across this and I'm curious, is there any dedicated forum/subreddit/discord/etc for coordination on these games? I see Metroid Prime Hunters has had 700+ logins but no one is currently online, I would love to be able to coordinate with other people and organize matches :)

Aye, I'm using this page to see though, it's a lot easier to see who's online, as well as their name and their friendcode :) wiimmfi.de/game/mprimeds

I just wish there was a way to contact them and say, hey let's play

What are the meanings of the codes at the top of the page? When I look at my own info I can see:

id4
: AMHE
pid
: 600539627
fc: 4515-7210-5707 (I know what this is, it's my friend code)
host:
gid
: —
ls_stat: 0
ol_stat: oGvS
status: 3 (this seems to represent what game mode I'm in but I'm unsure, I'd really like to know more, same for ls_stat and ol_stat)
suspend: —
n: 1
name1
: QVXO (I know what this is, it's my name in-game, but it doesn't always correctly represent what other people's names are)
name2:

--

Do you have a detailed explanation of what these terms are, or what they mean, or hell, even a lookup table for each of the possible values?

I'm in an MPH Discord server with 100+ members, but I'm not at my PC, so, I don't have the invite link.

What are the meanings of the codes at the top of the page? When I look at my own info I can see:

id4 is the game ID. pid is your profile ID (lowest 32 bits of your friend code). fc is, as you already noticed, your friend code. host, in most games, indicates if you are room host. 0=not playing, 1=guest, 2=host. suspend indicates if a room is currently locked (=1) or open (=0). "name1" is your name.

ls_stat and ol_stat only really apply to / is only useful Mario Kart Wii (but we didn't know that when we made the pages for other games, so it is displayed there as well.

status is the game mode. 0=Offline, 1=online, 2=playing, 3=searching for other players, 4=connecting to other players, 5/6=game-dependant.

Neat! ol_stat definitely seems to apply / be useful for MPH - looking at the code can tell quite a bit about what someone is doing, it seems, or at least what mode they're in (oGv is the "Find Players" screen, oGvS is actively searching, etc). The other numbers you listed out match up with the notes I'd taken already, it's neat to see how things work :) I wonder if there's a simple way to have those relay useful human words instead of shortcodes like that?
