A Hat in Time's upcoming "Nyakuza Metro" DLC will add new levels and 50-player online

Are you ready for more A Hat in Time goodness? Well then, you're in luck, as Gears for Breakfast has revealed their surprise announcement tease from earlier this week. Titled "Nyakuza Metro", this will be a brand new downloadable content update for the game, that adds a world of gang-like cats featuring 10 new timepieces to collect, new dyes and outfits, and an alarmingly chaotic 50-person online mode. Yes, that's not a typo; there will be an Online Party mode added to the game which allows up to 50 players to join together to collect timepieces as quickly as possible. Of course, while it can bring people together through teamwork, you can also interact with others, even to their detriment. Any and all Kickstarter backers will get the DLC for free, while those that bought the game on or after launch will have to pay $6.99. A Hat in Time's Nyakuza Metro DLC will launch on May 10th for PC players, and console players will presumably get it at a later date.

Nyakuza Metro introduces an all-new chapter with 10 new Time Pieces, a new sticker system, new flairs, new dyes, a new weapon, a new purple Time Rift and more!
Online Party allows you to play online with your friends, in groups of up to 50 players!

NYAKUZA METRO
  • 10 New Time Pieces!
  • Stickers! Stickers can be attached to your weapon, used with the Camera Badge, or as emotes!
  • A new weapon: The Baseball Bat!
  • A new Purple Time Rift: Rumbi Factory!
  • New flairs, including the Nyakuza Mask, Burger Cap, Artistic Vision, and more!
  • 2 new camera filters!
  • 2 new badges!
  • Over 20 new dyes, including Wireframe, Pizza Time and more!
ONLINE PARTY
  • Friends: Play in groups of up to 50 players by entering a group name!
  • Public: Play with 3 other strangers who can see you, but cannot affect you!
  • Use your new stickers to communicate as emotes!
  • Mess with eachother! You can hit, explode, shake and play catch with eachother, and more!
  • Clear Time Rifts together as your progress is combined!
(Note: Some game features are deliberately not synced in Online Party, to avoid griefing)

I wonder if they took the idea for the online mode from Super Mario 64 Online? Anyway, SM64O is pretty fun but I wish it integrated better into the game rather than just syncing player positions and collected stars and literally nothing else, so you can't cooperate on beating Bowser or anything like that. So this could be a blast :)

I imagine that with such a game that probably doesn't have the biggest install base across platforms, they would need some kind of cross-play to even get enough people?

Cool and fun game, but keeps crashing after one 3 GB update on Steam. Tried everything to solve, and still crashes. What annoys me is that i bought the Seal the Deal DLC too. I which this game had better customer support. Ican't even finish the game.
