Made so I can know all of the restrictions so please add on to this list and I will update it with comments.
Quick list of things from someone who has played the game on what can be played offline:

Restrictions:
Customization will not be saved offline.
Nothing can be unlocked. So after beating Story Mode you will be greeted with the credits... And thrown to the title screen without unlocking Frost or anything.
Koins generated (For Krypt) are reverted to 0.

Entirely disabled:
Towers of Time
Krypt
Online
AI Battle
Anything that requires saving or unlocking things excluding Tower endings and Story Mode progress.

people buy this game is generally for only competitive, maybe 3% of people care of offline mode.

A MK without online is like Pizza without mozzarella, SIMPLY tasteless

Its proper locked down!

Stupid decision for a portable console version.

There are cheats that will unlock the content but they need to be used everytime the game is started, If I knew how to write a patch to have it all unlocked then I would :)

You are simply wrong. End of discussion.

Please do clarify.

@K3R0Z1N Thanks for cheats share, I was having trouble finding where I had seen them. Shame theres no way of making them unlock permanently :(
Not a problem, figured it was easiest to just zip it with all 3 mainstream cfw's, and just upload it, rather than type everything out, or search myself for the thread.

I am with you on that, I assume at some point there might be a patched xci that has all the stuff unlocked, but that is still a bit of a wait from where we are now.

So how do I use this? I have put the appropriate files (depending on my CFW) on my SD card, and I take it, I need to input some sequence in order to unlock them, right? Where do I input this and what is the sequence?

Well I personally use sx os, so it's as easy as me going into my sx menu while my game is loaded and turning it on. I'm unsure of other cfw's.

Yes. Not directed to you, andyhappypants.

I see this is in a cheats folder for sxos (What I use) Could you throw a quick explanation on how what exactly this is/how to use it? I have never seen a cheats folder and txt file in the sxos folder.

Also, I don't play any game online. But I do admit online itself can be fun... However I do not like playing with random nobodies. So online, to me, is because I could not be local to the person I wish to play with specifically. So although I do not entirely agree fighting games are meant to be co-op, I don't hate playing fighting games online because of lag and connection and stupid stuff that is never an issue locally... IF I was playing with someone in the first place.

By the way, no one knows any other online-only features?
If I would have known this, though... Gosh.... Such wasted opportunities. Online-only garbage for offline content... Blegh.
After looking this issue up, everyone had vague/incomplete lists.

This sounds lousy.

Don't worry, a Cracked/Unlocked PC version will be right along.
