So I pressed the wrong button (update software for a game) and it updated the FW to 8.01 to my Switch?! I was doing perfectly fine and now I'm screwed. However I saved my NAND backup, and it took me an hour to clear my micro SD card and replace it with the 32GB backup card. When I go to restore options I tried clicking on Full Restore eMMC BOOT0/1, Full Restore eMMC RAW GPP <exFAT only>, and also Restore GPP Partitions but nothing happened.

I have everything in my backup folder I thought I needed BOOT 0, BOOT 1, and rawnand.bin. There isn't anything in the restore folder however. Do I need to put a FW file in there or something?

OK SO FOUND A MAJOR FLAW. I got it to work. But it needs to be known that when a NAND backup is made that it places the files in the wrong folder. It places them one level up above the restore folder. This is the second flaw that I found. NAND is being backed up as we speak *fingers crossed*.
Second important flaw is the ability to switch microSD cards without turning off/rebooting Switch, which is great if you're only using aluminum foil like me and want to play as many games as possible without ever going through this tedious process. This is done by purposefully putting your Switch in error mode by launching and trying to run 2 versions of Goldleaf/Goldtree that aren't the same version.

Yes. Things you want to restore must be in the restore folder. It has been some time since my last restore so unsure on the folder layout, but should be posted on whatever tools website.

Edit: Also, not sure what you are using but the folder layout for hekate is different than let's say if you are using a modchip and mattytrogs bootloader.

Edit2: just remembered something else from my last restore...its probably best to use a fat32 card to restore as depending on when and what firmware you had when backing up you switch will not boot into Horizon unless you play with sxos a little.

Hope this helps

By default it don't put nand in the restore folder, that is normal.

Thats not a flaw and your doing all this for nothing, CFW works on 8.0.1. Since you erased everything on your micro sd card you now have to download/install all your games again.
