I've read that AutoRCM drains the battery waaay too much! :/
And also decreasea the battery life over time :/
That's only if you are using a CFW like ReiNX that doesn't properly power off on manual trigger, instead it remains in RCM and you need to manually shut it off, but I can assure you Atmosphere doesn't have this problem.

Do you think I should try this? I have an untouched Switch console that has firmware 3.0.1.
I'm not in a rush or anything, but I'm STILL waiting for a coldboot/warmboot so we don't have to use the jig everytime we boot up the console.. :(

Well, you technically won't have to use a jig if you install Auto RCM, but you still going to need a payload sender that can actually push the payload that boots CFW (just an example, payloads can do much more.)

Do we need to use a computer to push the payload?
I'm thinking to buy SX OS pro, will it also be necessary to push the payload if I use AutoRCM on that? :)
