Idk why.. but at day, I do shit at tests andI can't feel nice. I got this when I was 12 and got to wear my socliosis treatment. I couldn't sleep at night, so I drank lots of teine and coffeine; teas, chocolates, everything... If I sleep at 12pm I wake up at 10 but if I sleep at 4am I always wake up 4 hours after and want to go for a jogging, instead of feeling like a zombie. I remember my parents telling me it's not beneficial to do allnighters, but it's fine.. I like to put music on earphones and chill, or run cfw.. I love this shit.yesterday I woke up for the 2nd day in a row in 5am because I was sweaty. And also, I drink strong coffee, and sleep like a bird.. I don't understand, is it something neurological? I always do some shit, like moving my feet like a vibrator, and always want to do this, some people call me stupid but I am not. do you encounter this boys and girls or whatever you identify as??

There is such a thing as oversleeping, and some people have odd patterns. 4 hours is a bit short for a young person (your profile says 20 so still young if so) and would probably see you skip or have minimal time in some sleep phases. Do you crash out for longer periods at points? Depending upon what you do in life then you could have messed your times up -- internet life has lots of cool stuff happening, usually when I am supposed to be asleep, and being self employed with no set times I find myself rather nocturnal at points.

"I always do some shit, like moving my feet like a vibrator"
There is something called restless legs syndrome. It could also be a tic of some form. Similarly if you are loaded on caffeine then that could be a result too -- you might "feel" fine but such things are not an unheard of concept.

If you did want to speak to a relevant medic those things you mentioned would likely mean you are not wasting their time, or at least asking would not be wasting their time.

Five coffees ? Not good. I drank green tea with no sugar in it all the time. I drank decaf coffee (black) from time to time and no sugar in it as well. Thats part of healthy and moderate.. 5 ? Thats too much if you do that everyday. Be careful.

About 15 years ago, there was an ending partnership for me (after 12 years).I was a comfortable and replete-from-life man. Also "big" in physically meaning.Suddenly i have to do with Life.
With time i get in "shape","try" to enjoy life. Most of my "new life" i worked from 5:00 to 20:00 and beyond.I was like an machine, powerful and invulnerable. But with an empty, lonely heart.I understand your Night guy life.I slept only 2-3 hours, woke up,go running,go working,go cycling,go swimming,go mountain climbing.I eat near nothing BUT drank coffee and RED BULL,every day, every time.I do not know if I would have survived that.

Fortunately everything changed.:)

I don´t think it´s sickness neither stupid. It is YOUR LIFE.:)
And it doesn´t had to bother you what other think of your life.

Since you are hardwired. It's totally nature. Wait until you come close to your thirties and you feel tired around 19:00 already.

5? Hell I have 5 in my first hour after getting out of bed. My coffee consumption is well into double figures, has been for nearly 30 years. 5, ppfffftt.

At the end of the day, if it’s basically normal for you and it’s consistent, then there’s probably nothing to worry about.

Most of my life I’ve gotten by with an hour or twos sleep 8 nights out of 10. Then I usually have a couple of nights with five or so hours. Then repeat. It’s apparently just the way my metabolism is, so the doc’s say anyway.

If you’re worried about your health at all, see a medical professional. They’ll be far more use to you than any of us will.

Good lord I lol'd. Can I add this to the hall of fame in my signature?

EDIT: To address your original post, are you saying that you sleep like a baby after drinking caffeine? If so you might just be resistant to it; I'm the same, people think it's weird that I have a cup of tea before bed, but it makes me feel cozy.

Re shaky legs, distorted sleep schedule, etc. I think you should try completely reforming your sleep habits and see how you feel, then tweak as necessary.

I'd say give yourself a goal to get to bed by 10:30pm every night, don't consume caffeine after 6pm, and let yourself wake up naturally/without an alarm. Stick to this for a few days, maybe 5. Then, if you find that you're getting up too early, maybe sleep later. If you think tea will get you better primed for bed, then at that point you can try that. If you find that you're naturally sleeping very little still, I'd recommend taking a melatonin pill (over-the-counter supplement in some countries, prescription medication in the EU I think) around 40 mins before bed.

I would also restrict caffeine intake in general to max 3 doses a day, e.g. 1 cup of coffee, 2 cups of tea. We're talking maximum, not an average, as chronic overstimulation through caffeine can make one feel quite zombie-ish.

At least sleep using 90 minutes cycles.
Some people don't sleep. They go meditation and they say that no need to sleep.

Not getting enough Sleep will seriously mess with your Head Literally and can lead to other Health Problems Heart in particular. Not to mention all the Caffeine etc is gonna wreak havoc when it all catches up with you including Bad Acid and Indigestion possible Stomach Ulcers and combined with Anxiety this can turn into a vicious circle.

Your on the road for really bad Anxiety and Depression.

Just some friendly Advice Sleepwell.

While I would most definitely recommend that if a person can sleep, even a little, then do so.

I know it’s said to be bad for your health, but I regularly go several days without any sleep at all. The longest I’ve gone is 9 days...... So far.

I’ve had no negative effects whatsoever, beyond tiredness by the end of it. And after several days without sleep, I do usually crash out and get 5 or 6 hours sleep.

I dunno, maybe I’m just used to it, I’ve been like that all my life. When I was a kid they called it hyperactive. Now, some of it is also due to pain.

But I still maintain, if it’s normal for you. By which I mean, I’d like me, you’ve been like that your entire life, then it’s nothing to worry about.

If however it’s out of the ordinary, then you really should seek medical attention.

If you're not overdoing it on caffeine it's generally fine to just sleep when you're tired or as need be around your schedule (I have about 5 cups of tea a day). Most of the time I'm up for about a day (bout 24 hours usually) then sleep about 8ish hours. Overall health plays a role in this too. Probably age a bit also

Age does have an effect..... allegedly.
Adults, from around 20 years old, to around 66 years old need less sleep than children under the age of 20.

Interestingly though, adults over the age of 66ish, return to needing about the same amount of sleep as children.

Though truthfully, there’s never been a single definitive scientific study everyone agrees on.

And I do know that if I was included, I’d have fucked their results right up :P
