The latest versions do however not everyone updates their CFW regularly or before a firmware update. Ensure you are running the latest version of whatever CFW you are currently using.
Ok thanks. I'll give 7.1 ago tomorrow with latest atmosphere. I normally don't update but the kids want to play bloody power rangers lol one more thing to ask. are themes a problem if i update? i mean should i remove the theme i have installed before updateing?

Yeah they should make this compatible with regular controller. And also I would like to be able to do this on the dock!

No need to downgrade as Atmosphere now supports 8.0. Plus you wouldn't be able du downgrade with ChoidujourNX as you need homebrew if atmo didn't support it.
Yes I’m aware that Atmosphere supports 8.0. Did SciresM already implement emunand? Back to the topic at hand, if I decide to downgrade I would have to manually downgrade with ChoiDujour?

It depends on if you ever will want to downgrade to 6.2 and boot without using a dongle. If you don't care then you don't need autorcm. You may not care now, but you may care if a coldboot for 6.2 comes out that then allows you to use emunand to load a later version.
Sleep mode problems were caused when you downgraded without using autorcm, but that problem is fixed now.
well i would like to hold out for coldboot tbh. i had 3.0 and updated to 6.2 the official way and im slowly regretting it lol. so i would like to keep my options open to go back to 6.2 if needed. thanks for your reply. is there anything i should have to worry about during this process/after it?
EmuNAND is a SX OS only feature for now, and you'll be able to downgrade from 8.0 with choidujourNX

Yes you can downgrade using ChoiDojourNX and deactivate de AutoRCM because 8.0 doesn't burn any fuses.
Hi to all, I have one question I am right now on the 7.01 software with the Atmosphere 0.87. Do I need first to update it with 0.8.8 Atmosphere and using the ChoiDujourNX to go on 8.0.0? This is the first time that I am doing this.
Always update the CFW prior to updating your firmware.
