There's still many times where the english voices come through, now i'm just trying to get a hold of a version of the game that isn't undubbed but is uncensored and Orchestrated.

No point to replay this game 3ds ver just for the new ending without the undub part on it.
Search "DQ8 3ED v5" on NGR, DU, or that iso site for the 100% undub.

There's legal versions of the orchestra patches that you can use via layeredfs on r/3dshacks, with one of them being the orchestra only patch. The uncensored patch is somewhere here on gbatemp, however it's still a wip. The thread it's available in is called [WIP Dragon Quest VIII (8) "Restoration" Project. It's even linked in the op of this thread.
Fyi, I found out what that iso site is and it's been down for like half of this month, I think it's gone for good.
Doesn't work. DU and "that site" have been shut down since your message. No results on NGR at all. It is nigh impossible to find the 3ED v5 without someone (like you) with the source directing us.
EDIT: For those looking for anything, I managed to find V4. duckduckgo: "dragon_quest_8_3ed_eur" and you will want to choose the site (should come up easily) about frosty brothers... BUT still no v5. I didn't find V5 anywhere. I think Swosho was just bullsh*tting us.
That said, it would've been a lot easier for their audience if the hackers to just give a patch file (like ScarletStudy did for Great Ace Attorney) instead of having to hide an illegal full game file behind tons of hints and clues like a scavenger hunt where the map takes you to buried treasure that was paved over by a new office building.

FYI there never was any "v5" so you got bamboozled by someone.

It was posted in an unfortunate period of time when both the iso site and DU got under shortly afterwards, and NGR has the N topics hidden for the users with less than 5 posts. It also got included in a recent compilation for these types of mods.
I've posted it again just now in another familiar and easily accessible place, I believe it should get indexed soon. As before, look for "DQ8 3ED v5". Edit: All right, it shows up on google.

Not sure, I don't remember what was the progress when I stopped working on it.
No idea why I deleted backup of my mods tho, even if I stopped playing/working on 3DS as I switched on Switch...
Thing is, we never made a v5 of uncensor. That v5 you claim was never made and authorized by us, it's some unofficial thing... Unless it was for undub in which case sorry for confusion.
Well yeah, @davhuit was maintaining the undub bundled with orchestral music & restoration project and titled it "3ED v2-4", so there wasn't much choice as how to call an addendum to "3ED v4". No changes to the restoration project were made in any of the 3ED versions.
cannot find any of this stuff for USA version. :\ the ones I find don't seem to work when editing the rom itself
