emuiibo - MitM'ing NFP services for Amiibo emulation

Hi everyone!

I noticed there was a project called switch-nfp-mitm, which had lots of forks, but none of them properly working (people reported it barely worked, and with some games), thus I decided to try to fix it, or to improve it as much as I could. Well, the results were that good, that I've just managed to get it working perfectly, even with a nice system of combos for Amiibo swapping, in just 2 days.

So, well, here's the result:

emuiibo

emuiibo is a virtual amiibo (amiibo emulation) system for Nintendo Switch!​

It consists on a background process (and service), which intercepts Nintendo Switch's internal NFC/NFP services to support virtual amiibo emulation, plus an overlay to easily control it.



Have fun playing around with custom virtual amiibos!

Can't seem to usw it in Atmosphere/Kosmos. I copied over everything and the needes abiibo files but I cant seem to get them working in BOTW or smash. The Boot2.flag was already there when i copied the files so I just dont know.

Is your amiibo .bin files in sd:/emiibo directory. Also in breath of the wild you have to enable it and select your amiibo before you start your game if i read it correctly. Where did you put all the files and what is your switch running exactly. So.e more details may help

I got it working finally. I guess I had done the wrong button combination. Thanks for trying to help me though!

I tested BotW last night and what I found out is that you just need to activate emuiibo before launching the game, selection of the amiibo files still work ingame.

Hey guys, I released a new update of AmiiSwap.
What changed ?
- I noticed a lot of people were downloading the switch-nfp-mitm build from the releases instead of Emuiibo, so now AmiiSwap only support Emuiibo (Better for everyone).
- Amiibo management now works with folders, follow the instructions on the github to set it up correctly.

When I first posted in this thread I didn't think AmiiSwap would get that much attention. Do you guys think it should get it's own thread/post ?
There are a lot of planned stuff and keeping people updated would be easier. Tell me what you think !

Awesome job expecially with the folders option i was waitong for something like that. Makes this a whole new ball game.

That's so cool. Could it also display an image of the amiibo? Can't wait until atmos gets emunand so I can try this out!

Can't get it working in Diablo 3 and AmiiSwap crashes no matter what.

Emuiibo is doing something - amiibo portal instantly closes always, in rift swapping amiibo dips fps for half a second but enemies are not spawning.
AmiiSwap - Launching from Album, Launching from installed game holding R - result is the same, crashes atmosphere.

Sorry, maybe I'm doing something wrong never used atmosphere before.

For AmiiSwap, make sure you have the emuiibo folder with folders inside and your amiibos inside of these folders
