I bought this game on release day. Both game and console were bought in the same country, so they are both from the same region, EU. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Please give us more details.
What game is that?
Are you on the latest 3ds and luma cfw version?
When does this error appear, when starting the game?
Also, are you using any kind of cheats?
Do you have game patching enabled in luma?

The game is a physical copy of Omega Ruby.
I'm on the latest Luma and CFW version.
No cheats whatsoever. The error happens randomly, sometimes on title screen, other times while playing online or throwing a pokemon at the start of a fight.

I'm asking for help since I have CFW and it may have something to do with it.

So as you didn't answer the last two questions I guess you don't know about it?
Power on your 3DS while holding select and please tell me if there is an x before "Enable game patching". And also try changing it.
Also are you using a new 3DS? If so, tell me where the x is next to "New 3DS CPU:", I'd try setting it to "Off".

Hello, sorry for the late reply. Game patching is enabled, as usual, but I also tried do disable/enable it multiple times just to see if the error persisted, and it did both ways. And my 3ds is the old model.
This is just weird.i never used cheated or edited things I should on this cartridge

Problem seem to be the game itself, your system doesn't seem to like it, you gotta figure out what file is causing it to crash.

Nobody uses an EmuNAND anymore. It's obsolete.

OP, you don't have any overclocking options enabled, do you?
Yes sounds like the op has over clocking enabled. If not it could just be either the cart is dirty or the game cart slot is dirty. Or even the contact points on the cart are beginning to wear away. I have that very issue with my day 1 copy of Ocarina of time where it would constantly give the same error as the op is getting. Bought another copy of the game second hand and had zero issues with it ever since.

I put the settings the same way as the image but no luck. It must be the cartridge then.
Big oof. I say that since you have already purchased the game, attempt to backup your save data, and try a pirated copy. It's legal, since you own the game.

It's not, and Nintendo actually has a lengthy article on why it's not. Basically, backups can only be legally used for archival. They can't be shared or played, even if one owns a physical copy. Is litigation going to be pursued, though? Doubtfully.

Do you have any other 3DS cartridge games? Do they crashes like this, too? It could also be faulty cart reader.

Try playing Omega Ruby by itself. Don't have the SD card inserted in the 3DS. If your 3DS doesn't function without SD card, you'll need to do CTRNAND Luma3DS.
This is to rule out bad SD card or its file setup somehow interfering with that game.

The last thing you can try is fixing the 3DS firmware with CTRTransfer. You should only attempt this if you can prove your 3DS acts like this with an online sourced CIA of Pokemon OR (don't use your cart dump).

Hold select on boot and tell us what it says next to "New3DS CPU Clock" or something like that. Near the top. Only applies if you have a n3DS/n2DS.

I don't have a n3ds. But thank you for the help.

It only happens to OR. Y is working fine. I will try the CTRNand Luma 3ds then. Thank you for your help.

Edit: it seems that I don't have the script the guide is asking me. I think it's important to say that I started using CfW in 2017,so I might be missing something more recent. Luma in its latest firmware version

Nintendo's anti-piracy page is full of factual and legal inaccuracies. They also claim emulators are illegal. That page should really not be used as a source of correct information.
You are allowed to have a personal backup for your personal use. That means you are allowed to play it, but you aren't allowed to play it while someone plays the original, or if you are not in possession of the original.

Oh, okay! That makes more sense. I can dump GBA, DS, 3DS, & Wii ROMs. For the other games I own, is it legal to use someone else's backup, or do I need to find a way to dump those?
