Hi guys. I have 2 Switches: One offline and on FW 5 something, other on 7 something and is online. I know for sure that the Switch with FW 5 something is not patched, but am not sure about the other one. Can someone tell me if my 2nd Switch is patched or not? The Serial begins with xaw1 and first 6 digits are 008282. I know that Smash 3.0 drops today, but the Switch that has FW 7 something still says I have latest game update. My other question is, if my system is indeed patched, should I just go ahead with FW 8.0 update? Thoughts on all of this appreciated :)

Its not entirely useless however if you restore that NAND backup, you can only boot your console through RCM. If you boot it normally, the screen will stay black as the console is soft-bricked. If you restore it and want to boot your console from that firmware, be sure to enable AutoRCM after the restore. You can make another NAND backup if you don't want to worry about this extra step.
Use FAT32. There is no reason to use exFAT on the Switch.
Thank you. BTW regarding this same thing , I'm running said atmo with exfat. How would it work to trasnfer files to fat32? copy in computer , format to fat 32, paste in the files? ( Except of course >4gb NSps)

I currently have my switch set up running both sxos (which it came with when I bought it) and atmosphere which I just installed and can happily dual boot in to either.

All games run fine in sxos, but I have a handful of games that refuse to boot in atmosphere even though they do in sxos. I get the corrupt data message and I can't start them. What am I doing wrong with these games?

I really like atmosphere as am really impressed with freebird overclock but until I can figure out why some games aren't booting I figure I'm having to go back to sxos to play some games.
SX OS applies a lot of unnecessary patches to the games they install which make them only work in SX OS. You may need to reinstall the games in a CFW outside of SX OS for them to work in a CFW outside of SX OS.

You can check yourself if the serial number is patched or not in the pinned thread in this subforum. If its patched and you want to hack it, don't update the firmware. If its patched and you don't want to hack it, then you can do whatever you want with it.

Either network or USB install works because these installation processes don't involve putting the .NSP file on the SD card prior to installation; the installation begins on your computer.

What I mean is how to transfer or convert from exfat to fat32 as everyone is telling me to do.

Just copy and paste the folders or something else I have to do?

Since deja vu is (hopefully) going to be released for public use soon, I've got a question
Obviously ofw must remain at 4.1.0 for us with patched switches. but can we boot into an emunand with updated firmware to be able to launch new games?
Will it be a PS4 situation where hack will only work for the current firmware you are on?

Are you sure its asking for a system update and not a game update? Also do you have Wi-Fi settings saved in your EmuNAND?

ChoiDujour supports only up to firmware 6.1. ChoiDujourNX however can update you to any firmware assuming Nintendo doesn't change the way system updates are handled. And you don't necessarily need to redump the newest masterkeys when you update your firmware unless you are actively using them. Lastly, kezplez is highly outdated. The successor is known as Lockpick.

Yes, if you are able to boot SX OS, this confirms the Switch is indeed not patched.
Yeah, i would do that with ChiDujourNX.

Thank you again for helping me out! :-)
As for the Update from 5.1.2 to 7.0.1. i wouldn't need to update to 7.0.0 or 6.2.0 because of other stuff? (Already used the ExFat Update within 5.1.2 aswell as AutoRCM is enabled)

No, just update directly to 7.0.1. You don't need to install each firmware version.

Hello there,
I have a specific problem, and can't figure it out nor can I find the information to fix it, maybe someone else had the same problem and made it work:

While installing an NSP via Goldtree/leaf (v0.5), the switch went to standby and the install stopped and later crashed.
Removing the title does not seem to properly work, when I try to install it again it is finished in 1 sec and claimed as successful, however the game does not work.
Restarting the console (as I've read it is required in 0.5 goldleaf to remove files) does not help, and I cannot find the game file in Contents/registered (I don't understand the code, and the sizes don't match) in order to remove any rest files per hand.
I have also tried earlier versions of Goldleaf to remove the title, but it doesn't seem to work properly, as a new install will always only last 1 sec and will not work.

Would be glad for any ideas :)

Yes, that would be the whole purpose of EmuNAND; keeping SysNAND low so the console can load Deja Vu while keeping an EmuNAND that is updated to the highest firmware CFW supports. Although I should also mention that Deja Vu can apparently be made to work up to firmware 7.0.1 but that will be made available much later than for firmwares 4.1 and below. If you want to use Deja Vu as soon as possible, do not update your firmware.

Try uninstalling the game via Data Management.

I was able to find the firmware. Can I go to firmware 6.2.0. Will it burn any fuse if i try it?
If you install it with ChoiDujourNX and do not disable AutoRCM during the installation process, it won't.
