Are there any of these mod packs in the thread that only have the graphics mods and upgrades without the gameplay changing addons such as last threat?

You should be able to run any graphic mods no matter what national language the game is in. All you have to do is download the mod you want and replace the char.lgp battle.lgp and magic.lgp. But if you want to run reunion or NT or let alone any other mod that’s affects the overall script of the game or Flevel then no you cannot because those mods are customized for the English speaking version. Someone would have to come along and change the entire mod to the new desired language to be compatible.

I would not have a problem running the game in English. What sucks is that I can not run it in English without changing the whole system language to English.

Sega Chief's original NT documentation explains how to rename files to run on European systems. I've included that documentation in my Plus pack, but the process should work for either version.

Edit: OK that documentation isn't quite right. And I'm not 100% on if it works on Switch. But here's the gist of what you should try:

Drill down to to the data folder. Not every mod changes these files so they won't all be there, but if they are you should change them to match your language.

Rename the lang-en folder to lang-fr, lang-es, or lang-de

Open the Field folder and rename flevel.lgp to fflevel.lgp, sflevel.lgp, or gflevel.lgp

in the WM folder rename world_us.lgp to world_fr.lgp, world_gm.lgp, or world_sp.lgp

in the menu folder, menu_us.lgp -> menu_fr.lgp, menu_gm.lgp, menu_sp.lgp

For the handful of cosmetic credits or title screens, look in the CD folder:'
cr_us.lgp -> cr_fr.lgp, cr_gm.lgp, cr_sp.lgp
disc_us.lgp -> disc_fr.lgp, disc_gm.lgp, disc_sp.lgp

Kindly use the search function before asking questions that have been addressed multiple times.
In the amount of time it took you to post that, you could have said yes or no and given an explanation. Goes both ways bud.

For anyone else that stumbles on this, there is slight work being done. There's a discord available, but it's not highly active, and there's a thread here on GBATemp, but it turned out to be bunk. Link for anyone interested. https://gbatemp.net/threads/final-f...n-with-translation-pt-br.535023/#post-8577534

I’ll post this again for any modders or fans of FF7 on Switch interested in joining a discord occupied by Switch modders and others driven to unite the Switch modding scene. We are all working towards the same goals, so that’s why we are trying to build up a family type modding discord to do it together. Follow the discord link below and come join the family.

So, this thread has seemed to envelope itself and a lot of the stuff released here has been buried in the pages...any way the OP would update with whats available?...anyways, just a suggestion.

Furthermore, what the hell is everyone using when it comes to these mods? I have seen several different releases here but some had issues with switch, theres New threat, ?Chaos mod?, Omnislash, found a 1.4, 1.4plus, 1.5 with a fix....Anyone up-to-date on whats working or what we should be using? I have downloaded pretty much everything I could find, but tired of shotgunning for answers. thanks for any help

If you're starting new and you want a gameplay overhaul with some challenge and prettier graphics/sound, I would just grab Rawrzilla's latest NT 1.5 fixed pack. If you already have an NT game going I would stick with one appropriate for your version, i.e Rawrzilla's for 1.5, or either my non-plus 1.4 for original graphics, or plus 1.01 for shiny ones.

Omnislash is purely a graphical overhaul and has maybe the first fourth of the game done, it has a ways to go.

Edit: don't even use pure Chaos because the versions released here haven't had their bigger textures shrunk, so they tend to crash the game after an hour or so.

Appreciate the help and I think I am just going to go with your first mention, Rawrzilla's NT1.5 fixed pack for now. But, now that I think about it I am wondering a few things if anyone wants to throw down their opinion...

1. Which will be the better mod pack once Omnislash is completed? I have played ff7 more times than I can remember, but with how good pictures of these mods are, I am looking for one more play through that is, I guess, more updated or "prettier" if that makes since. (graphics, sound, difficulty...looking for overall better play through opinions here)

2. Lastly, you stated the NT pack(s) have some prettier sounds as well and wondering if something like Omnislash turned out to be the better graphical overhaul...could it be easily combined with other mod packs? Like I said, just looking to build/combine something into a better FULL game experience to make my next play through unique.

I am looking around now since these ff7 mods have sparked my interest in playing again, but would love any feedback on a better way to play through the game.

EDIT: Just found my way to discord and saw the attached picture so my post may now be moot, but would still love some feedback on what would be the better way to play through that would provide a better experience.

I will just wait for the full release of project omnislash now i just hope someone can tidy these whole threads.
Omnislash will be getting its own thread, I will speak to MrEffler22 about it.
I'm also working on a mix of NT 1.5 with his Omnislash pack, but I will be holding off on any release of that until A. The entire game is finished and B. It has been thoroughly bug-tested and approved. I personally have had to re-release 1.5 fixes at least 3 times due to discovering bugs in either ChaOS or NT itself. For the sake of bandwidth and just general accountability, this wont see a release until I've played through it and can verify ALL enemies and locations are working without issue.
Also included will be a plugin to slightly overclock your Switch to increase performance, as the models for Omnislash are a little more intricate than base FFVII. That will also be tested to verify safety, but in all likelihood will not tax your Switch any more than BotW/Smash would.

I have played ff7 more times than I can remember, but with how good pictures of these mods are, I am looking for one more play through that is, I guess, more updated or "prettier" if that makes sense. (graphics, sound, difficulty...looking for overall better play through opinions here).

Ask and you shall receive!

Indeed. I just wished that instead of posting updates, and own project, people would start theirs own thread on the forum, because it's actually starting becoming super messy.
