I guess I'll have to say it was Mazes of Fate. It had its flaws, but at least it was original.
That last Ninja Turtles game was probably the best turtles game ever too.

The reduced complexity of the music in FF6 just kept reminding me that what I was playing was better in 1994. Really it bothered me so much that I didn't get very far at all in the game.

This year I enjoyed TMNT, Spider-Man 3 and Spyro. All three of those beat the crap out of the DS or home consoles but TMNT is the one I can see playing again.

TMNT would get my vote. Shame all the other versions of the game fell so short of the GBA edition.

Final Fantasy 5 Advance to me...6 was always to me kind of overrated and trashy. The game up to when the world was blown to bits was great, but the other 1/2 outright ruined the quality of the title. The last part was a lot of optional things, thin story, disjointed, a lot of collection. But, the killer was the hosed leveling/magic skill earning system because essentially anyone could use the best weapon/armor in the game and could back it up with a Ultima laiden death throw from each team member laying it on thick making boss fights as scary as a pack of IMPS in the first 5min of actual gameplay.

FF5 was hard as hell, ported quite nicely too regardless, and the system just worked because even if you could give everyone everything in skills (not gear), but not having a diverse party you were screwed.

FF6 for me, I couldn't finish my PSX/SNES replay because I can't stand old school graphics on large screen, have no problem with them on portable consoles though. I particularly like the few changes in the system, thought it was a nice touch. The music did not bother me much, I still enjoy them as much as I did, and maybe I wasn't paying attention but I haven't notice any bug at all half way through the game.

FF6? Nah.

Spyro: The Eternal Night is a shockingly great 2-D Devil May Cry with very nice graphics/music. TMNT, as has been noted, is a lovely little beat-em-up and Mazes of Fate is a wonderfully creative dungeon crawler, one of my favorite RPGs on the system.
