Keep in mind if you're running any version of New Threat just dropping in a kernel/2.bin and scene.bin slightly modified from stock will mostly overwrite the mod. If you just want to change a few spell names you'd have to apply the edits to the existing mod files.

Movies and music are pretty interchangeable though.

Here is the first part release of FF7 Project Omnislash on Nintendo Switch. This project replaces all enemies, main characters, main character weapons, NPC's, sound effects and videos/avatars/menus with HD upscaled assets. This first part release covers Cloud and his friends journey up to passing the monstrous Midgar Zolom and crossing into the Fort Condor and Juno continent through the Mythril Mine! Enjoy the project. The next part release will cover all of the Juno/Gold saucer area and all the other events leading up to the revisiting of Nibelheim.

For those, just replace the menu_us.lgp with the one that has the transparent icons. Easy peasy :)

What issues were fixed in regards to the ChaOS mod? I decided to just play with vanilla models because I couldn't stand the framerate drops (outside of battle - ddn't really pay attention in-battle).

Also, I've been using a modified flevel.lgp for NT 1.5 (edited nvmkin23 to give 5 sources instead 1) and made my way up to fighting Pearl/Diamond Weapon outside of Midgar - the only issue I've come across was Cid's Hyper Jump animation seems to be broken, but that isn't a big loss.

A small bit of history so you understand my meaning going forward: There are two version of the recently released ChaOS mod. One meant to be used with the program 7th Heaven (that allows loading of alternate files via memory patches), and an installer of sorts, that allows yuo to place your own files in and will repack new ones and include the ChaOS mod. For whatever reason, there are a couple textures in the installer version that swap Aerith's mouth and eyes, resulting in this:

The 7th Heaven version seems to have been updated about 2 weeks after the installer and fixes this however. So I edited the installed to include those newer files and recompiled a build of NT 1.5
Hope that made sense lol
Also those sources are supposed to be multiplied by 5 all around, hope that's what you meant.

For anyone using my "Plus" version of New Threat 1.4, I've released an update, v1.01. The most important part is editing the larger CHAOS textures down, which seems to have eliminated the random crashes, so you really should update to keep things running smoothly. Full changes below:

- capped CHAOS textures at 0.5k, fixing random crashes
- added some missing Avalanche Arisen battle textures
- added skybox, meteor, and map from FeliX Leonhart + Ste41k + Grimmy world texture pack
- Bugenhagen now sits on his ball rather than standing
- Re-Reverted Shinra guards and soldiers to CHAOS versions. Junon is still quite playable.

For the record, my Aeris does have a face, since I've always used the 7H .iro as a base.

Thanks for the update I'll give it a try hopefully experience less crashes. Junon was a real lagfest.

I think this is probably the best mod i have seen.

Need to somehow get the battle screen to look like that in this video and all the text boxes.

The battle screen/text boxes are Menu Overhaul, usually a component of the reunion mod. A few of us have tried and had zero luck getting that to work on Switch. The switch menus and fonts are somewhat higher quality/resolution than the PC version so I wouldn't be surprised if its handled in a place separate from the original resources and just ignores them.
